First of all I wanted to thank everyone for all the help you guys have offered over the years!

With that said, Im hoping you can help me with a problem Im having. I download files to an external hard drive, and from time to time the connection to the hard drive fizzles out and I have to unplug it and plug it back in, and then it works fine again. The problem is that during the interim all my downloads come up as erroneous and get the yellow and black stripe stuff in the transfers tab. In the past, when I was just doing one or two downloads at the time, I would just cancel the download and start over. But right now I have like 20 erroneous downloads! Is there any way to restart them or resume them now that the external drive is working again? I would hate to have to cancel them all and to start from scratch.

Can I just shut off emule and turn it back on and will the temp files be detected by emule again and will it download the files? Im not really seeing any other options as right clicking on the files doesnt help me at all. Im just afraid that the erroneous files will be deleted by emule if I restart it, when I just want them to be redetected, now that the hard drive is working again.

I don't know ...
Before you restart emule you can follow the instructions to recover corrupted downloads:
second post of Met File Recovery Tools topic (click)
fourth post of Disappearing Downloads topic (click)

If you have corrupted downloads after the restart, try first on a file the import downloads feature (in the tools) and if it works try with the other files ... otherwise I think you will have lot of job to do

Why not? What happens if you click on "Resume"? Is there any error message in the log?
If I understand you right, the downloads did not disappear but are still among your Transfers, right?

He's right, it's not possible to resume erroneous downloads.

@Alex: You can safely restart EMule. It won't delete your downloads. Quite the contrary it will try to recover them and usually succeeds if the files have not been damaged (which they shouldn't be since the drive got disconnected).

Just restarting EMule will most likely cure your problem and resume the downloads. If it doesn't try the file recovery utilities that were mentioned earlier in this thread.

I didn't know, then thanks for explanation. Fortunately I haven't had problems with that for long time now. What I remember is only that corrupt downloads disappear from transfers list (but could be recovered then most of the time) and the black/yellow stripes downloads mostly accuring due to lack of disk space for me, no problem tho to resume them.
I was just wondering about the error message.

Nice of course that it worked (I guess because of restarting).
