That's simply the way our good old SiRoB decided to let the feature work now. No it's up to you...
But what does it depend on? What do I have to do as to PowerShare a file? I have 13 almost identical files and one of these is "denied" PowerShare now... ??? Give me the rulebook.

If the release is allready spreaded there is no need to powershare it.
Anyway if you feel that your release is not spreaded at all give me the different stat of yours files.

Thanks

WFM.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

And what are the conditions for PS status to be triggered to "advised" now?

I made this try.
Upload limited to 11 KB/s; USC set as in screenshot.
PS seems to focus to first slot instead of distributing equally. Or am I going wrong?

What's the definition of "spreaded"? Which stats do you need?

I'm the releaser of a collection of 13 files that belong together, and I'm one of a single-digit number of permanent sharers of these files. I consider myself instrumental for keeping these files alive in the ed2k network.
After starting MorphXT 7.4, connecting to Razorback & Kademlia and waiting a couple of hours most of these files were shown with 1 complete copy (i. e. mine), one file with "4-6" complete copies (this is the "spreaded" one where MorphXT 7.4 denied PowerSharing!), and one file with "7-11" complete copies (which MorphXT 7.4 still allowed me to PowerShare!). There are about five more of these files (out of 400 shared files), all of which have fewer than 10 visible complete copies (or else I wouldn't share these files in the first place). I hope you understand why I fail to see any pattern here.

I wouldn't mind to be denied powersharing a file with 50 complete sources or so - but with 4-6 it's just ridiculous. You're effectively forcing me to upload spreaded files, such as some of my current downloads with hundreds of complete sources! Please make the formula that decided about the "denial" visible in any form. Even better, consider making "spreaded" a user-definable parameter.

I support the idea how you want to improve the way MorphXT is sharing files - then again MorphXT is a releaser special mod, assuming that its users know what they're doing. I don't want to shape credits for popular files - in fact I'm doing the exact opposite, which isn't possible any more with MorphXT 7.4 as it is now.
You gave us the power of complete control over the upload by implementing the internal priorities - and now you're undermining the whole idea of MorphXT by babysitting the users. Please explain why you changed your mind, and why you prevent me from reliably PowerSharing your very own binary, for example.

You configured that you allow a maximum of 6 kB/sec for all your five PowerShare upload slots, which can't work if you're allowing a maximum of 3 kB/sec for each of them. SlotFocus tries to assign a minimum to each of these slots (as to keep them above the "trickle" level), and then focusses as much upload as possible on the slots with lower slot numbers - that's exactly what I'd expect it to do.

Your question might rather be why you got more than 2 slots with PowerShared files - but as PowerShare is a higher priority than non-PowerShare that's apparently the way the waiting queue is being handled on your machine. Maybe you should disable "Don't remove spare trickle slot"?

I'm afraid I share Devil Doll's concerns here. I too am sharing a number of files which are quite rare and despite the amount of uploads never really seem to get that many complete sources.

And the next unwanted behaviour:

MorphXT 7.4 assigns one slot to a PowerShared file (I have no limits for bandwidth here) and 18 other slots to non-PowerShared files (which I'm limiting to 1 kb/sec bandwidth each).

Posted Image

At the same time in my waiting queue there are 24 more PowerShared files, all of which are correctly sorted above all non-PowerShared files.

What's going on here?

And no, I didn't change my configuration since a long time.

Maybe connected to your USC configuration?

Back to MorphXT 7.3 (with the identical configuration, I am holding both binaries in the same directory), and again everything works as expected... no, I don't think it's based on my configuration, really.

I searching a feature in the morphxt mod, a upload slot limet. I have the problem, if i upload with 37kb/s, I have 34 upload connections. But if i use only 27kb/s, i have only 4 connection, and everybody get more speed. Maybe, the mod have the feature, then I don't find it, sorry for my bad english :(

I think SlotFocus + USS usually give the best result for minimum slots.
