I like this feature in the Servers tab and update from gruk.org manually when I think about it. I searched around the forum and program, but don't see any way to automate this procedure. Am I wrong? Any suggestions? Possible with the scheduler, some how? If not, possible addition next version?

Thanks for any help provided.

i haven't use the scheduler, but it appears to control other things, so i'll provide my own fix...

you can download a ed2k link by supplying it on the commandline (while emule is running):

example: emule "ed2k://|serverlist|http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz|/"

*note - include the quotes, if in console, otherwise:

Quote

timwi: You don't need the quotes. Windows doesn't care if your parameter is a file or not.

your windows task scheduler, or any app that can periodically issue the command line, may then update the server list. The transaction is logged in the server log.

if you're like me and have the auto complete history OFF... which means that the previous server.met urls have been cleared, the url above can be placed in the webservices.dat like so:

Tools > Links > Edit Web Services
...which opens webservices.dat in a text editor...

add this entry:
# Update from Gruk's server.met
Gruk's Server.met (ed2k),ed2k://|serverlist|http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz|/

This will also download and update the servers.met file.

Cheers.

with morph 7.1 i did it this way:
in options > server, i've enabled the option automatically download the server list at start (don't know if it's the right name, i use italian translation) and clicked the list... button
it created a file named addresses.dat (in config folder) where i wrote this address: http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz
saved the file and that's all
works fine 4 me, don't know if possible with no-modded version :-k
