Suddenly my I've gotten the "Your IP ends with a 0" message. This after several years and at least a tera up & a tera down on the mule! I'm hooked to the net using Shaw as my provider, cable is the connection. Any suggestions as to what I can do? (Please try & keep it simple as I'm a total idiot when it comes to this stuff!}
Thanks
jim

If you want a high ID right away (with dynamic IP) you could completely disconnect from your ISP and then reconnect, hopefully you got some other IP.

CITA -- thank you for your reply!

I have big problems as I released my IP using:
RUN>CMD>ipconfig/release
then:
RUN>CMD>ipconfig/renew
My Ip stayed the same -- it has a zero on the end.
I then attempted to try:
emule 48a -- kad allowed one connection in a half hour.
xtreme -- KAD did not connect
Skiva -- Kad would not connect
This SUX for me downloading & those uploading from me as I upload a lot of very rare music & book files that can't be found elsewhere.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can try?
thx
jim

This way you renew you private ip, and you need renew your public IP. This is the reason for having to disconnect from your ISP.

Well, this just happened to me today for the first time... I was wondering if there is a way to get not just the IP address from a user's machine but also the mask... my ISP is using 255.255.240.0, so the "0" in my current IP address should really be considered a "3840".

Dont worry about private ip or mask. We are again merging private ip addresses and masks with public ip adresses. The eD2K protocol get the ID from the public IP. This, the public, is the only ip that can not end in .0 and you can do nothing, but disconnect your modem or modem/router to get a new one, cause it is given by your ISP.
