aaa3i, that's not a bug, that's you. Looks like tHeWiZaRdOfDoS gave you the correct fix suggestion/link. As a beba user, I've never had any friends/slots related problems. From your meanderings in the other post, I couldn't tell whether you've figured it out. In case you still don't have it fixed, you want to search for cryptkey.dat, statistics.ini, known.met, known2_64.met, clients.met, clients.met.SUQWTv2.met, and emfriends.met. In short, you need to move all the files in your previous config folder to your current config folder - and you need to shutdown eMule before doing so, then restart. A reinstall isn't necessary.

If there's a missing feature in all of this, it's that you can't merge your new data with your old. You've got to chose which you're willing to lose. As you correctly concluded, that's a general eMule problem, not beba specific.
Currently recommending and using: eMule beba 2.63
For slot control only, currently recommending: Tombstone Xtended 1.0 (or higher) if you absolutely must have slot control

1st off, his link was useless as i have already said, though i appreciate his helpfulness; 2nd, the files u name are OF COURSE had been moved together with thw whole, and are residing in the correct folder. but lets forget it anyway, i created a new incarnation and it works so i'll just delete the old nonworking one and copy all my stats, history etc to the new. thx 4 posting

neo & stulle user, if someone freaks out from zzratio, i recommend beba, though its much closer to original than these, but the only non-zz with suqwt & releaseprio (can be set for small files e.g.) for fairness -- Anoxie's pic

We want a somehowmutilatedin2acceptable4devs SUQWT into official! And more effective auto-UL-prio which heavy-handedly scores down well-spread files into very low, and scores up yet-inco's-on-t-network-butwhichhehas in2 high. More QR separation based on prio-s. And more intelligent UL chunk selection to help rare files even more. All these must be autoset and omnipresent, for us not to suffer from all the retards who dont care. And assignable text comments to friends (everybody is noname, how to remember when and why have we added 'em). And please, a BIG big red /whatever MORE visible and drastic/ warning to low-ids, both first-run &always when low, with explanation; instead of forced punishment of them... (i want to upload to them)... and renaming low and high id into "limited(please fix in config)" and "full connection"! with a nice explanation in t relevant configwindow - not just t setting boxes waiting there for filling; also the client ports box shd b t top, not line speed, with marking "Ports (IMPORTANT)" and removing "client", if possible in a red border, if not the whole box elevatedheightlooking like a button. probably conn should b 1st & folders 2nd group in the options! What use r all goodies when nothing is existing of them outside a few % of users... and ok i also like the idea of neo-style subchunk-sharing (useful with veryrares/grabbing the most from forever-incos), &protcl-extsn flagslist in client dets (looks cool, pretty & neat: ).

About the Sourceforge question: Well, no. I am not interested at all to support US-American companies with strict "export" restrictions which would also apply to me then.

Oh, regarding the mirrors: I don't check all of them too often. If one or several are broken for you, tell me which they are and I'll remove them ASAP.

:flowers:

edit: I stand corrected; my FTP access does not work anymore. Need to figure it out, stay tuned.

how big is the effort to do that integration? is it just a couple of extra calls here and there or do you need extensive rework? because providing this as an alternative does sound quite nice, actually. i for one wouldn't like to bother with installing snarl (or whatever it's called) but somebody else might.

No, there will not be a new version of my mods. No, I do not want your PM. No, I am certain, use the board and quit sending PMs. No, I am not kidding, there will not be a new version of my mods just because of YOU asking for it!

Just a couple of extra calls. Add the interfaces, instantiate the Snarl object once, add some initialization stuff (register eMule, add the desired notifications, one line per type), then it's only one call:

snarl->Notify(NOTIFICATIONTYPE,TITLE,TEXT);

Actually, it's pretty easy. :flowers:

You might want to set some boolean value during the initialization though, so eMule can fallback to its default notification system when Snarl does not run (or the user turns it off if allowed to).

After taking another quick look you neither need the flag (check for interface != null) nor do you need so many calls... just hook it into shownotifier in emuledlg - that saves a lot of codework :)
Oh and if you want to use localized strings, you should reset the classes on lang changes ;)

Well, yes about the hook. The problem with it would be that the parameters passed don't contain a decent title for the popup, so probably that would not really work without some switch-case, thus, I guess it is rather ok the way I do it...

However, my current implementation is still more of a POC, that's why it is a not-so-public beta, hahaha... :)
Will optimize things this afternoon, the final version should be done soon, if everything works smooth...thanks for the hint about the flag though!

Why should I reset the classes? The current strings (slightly different than the ones in the version you know) perfectly fit. :D
And it is intended to re-register with Snarl every time eMule is restarted, so changes should be reflected immediately.

Not sure what happens when multiple instances are running though. Probably I should consider that too, e.g. if it was not exited properly.

Well, IMHO you should update the strings on-the-fly as they can change during runtime (though I'm not sure where we actually use those strings)... and you should also check for Snarl regularly to take care of the cases when Snarl is started/shutdown while eMule is running.

When Snarl is shut down, notifications will (probably?) not be sent, that's all. I guess Snarl won't shut down without notifying the user.
Handling this case should be easy: During the initialization, we could check if beba is still registered. If so, unregister and register again. (Multiple instances problem solved, too.)

Right?

Back home, I found out that Snarl's API does not have (?) an "IsRegistered" attribute. All we can do is check if registering/unregistering actually returns a positive (success) value or not.
So, I updated the build with some very ugly failure check code. Also, WiZ was right about the hook. Initialization code is a bit longer, but everything can be done from within eMuleDlg. The ShowNotifier method will also check if Snarl is suddenly gone, so it can safely delete the interface handle and all is fine.

:angelnot:

(Now what's "less complicated code"?)

BTW, upcoming versions of Snarl will not ban eMule for flooding anymore, they will just stop showing popups if they are too many.
So interested users are advised to use the very latest versions if they want all pop-ups they can get.

Hi!

First, sorry for my english i'm french x'D

So just a little thing..:
-Can you create an installer/exe ? More for "integration" in Windows that another thing.
-Can you clean much more the interface ? Like morph4u made for its mods (delete the useless "Information Server" tabs etc.)
-And a beautiful skin/theme *.*
-And add "IptoCountry" wouldn't be badly too.

Well, I acknowledge that my request are very esthetic ^^"
I don't have another things to add.
Your MOD is already very well, if it's not perfect ^_-

On it, thank you very much :)
