The changes to the Kad contact info are explained above.

I have performed many tests with the new client, along with the betas. I have never experienced any of the things you describe. I can think of many reasons why you might experience this - session duration, sources etc etc.

Okay, from what I inferred from the code, green means that the contact has been last seen alive at least in the past hour, yellow means within the past 1.5 hours, orange means within the past 2 hours, and red is anything older than that. HTH.

Yeah, I'm kind of puzzled how those fit into the equation. Still can't decrypher how that CKadContactListCtrl::SetAllIcons() function works  I think it has something to do with CImageList, but where and how that specific icon gets set is beyond me at this point.

Hi!

I'm experiencing a dramatic decrease in performance. With previous versions I had an average download speed of 50-100 kbytes/s after an hour, now I'm lucky if I get 10 kbytes/s. From most of my sources I can only dowload with a speed of 20 to 30 bits/s (!!!). I always get high id on both networks with safe connect turned on and leave enough bandwith for upload so I'm absolutely clueless about the source of the problem. Could it be that my isp is fucking with me? (It's unlikely because BearShare works perfectly) A windowsXp bug? I'm a hungarian T-online DSL (1024/128) user.

They are either bad clients and you are unlucky or you have not waited long enough. But it is certainly not the new version that is causing this.

Dear Administrator
I have to ask you a question that needs to be answered for my further happiness with emule. I was using emule 0,46a version and daily I was downloading app. 1 GB with 256 kbps internet connection speed. After a while I changed some adjustments in the deep windows settings and by the time I upgraded to emule 046c. The problems began after this time. Problem is this: When I start emule it downloads with speed of 20 KBps then in one minute it is falling to 10 3 0.1 and 0.0. And this reduce in the downloading speed is not recovering itself later. It begins not downloading only uploading even I set download and upload speeds to maximum 32/8 . I mean the download speed is not going to 15 16 or even 4 after falling to 0.0. But the uploading speed is still as same as in emule 046a. Why can not I have the old performance. I formatted my computer twice because I tought that these should be caused from changing the default settings of windows but after format nothing changed. I am using panda titanium 7.0 antivirus software I closed its firewall option and I also closed the firewall option from the network settings. But at this point a new question of me arises. Before I formatted in the control panel there was an icon called windows security wall. But after I formatted and installed Windows XP from the same cd i could not see any direct icon that takes me to firewall settings of windows Xp system itself. Is it the problem. If yes how can I reach to that Icon again. If my problem seems to be solved by some another methods please explain and help me the ways to cope with this low performance. Please reply me urgently Thanks A Lot

Pls read the manuals and stickies. There is no reason to expect any particular speed from downloads. Only uploads are predictable, as you observe.

Make sure you have High-Id
Choose sources with high availablility (100+ sources ideally) and with high %complete.
Run multiple downloads.
Leave running 24/7 and wait.

Any further questions please post a new topic in Support. Stickies are not the place for this.

3 users.

Right now connected to RB2 are 941k (941,000) users.
37% of my known clients are running 0.46c

I think 0.46c is fine (never crashed or frozen, then again, neither has my OS... ever... :D)

It must be a problem with your computer, OS or something else.
eMule is doing fine :+1:

OK, here is my reasoning:

A lot of people are using 0.46c version and having no problems.
A few people are using 0.46c and having issues.

This is the "Emule 0.46c Released, 2005-07-26" thread.

NOT the support thread. You, just like those you linked to, are looking for SUPPORT!

Why?
Because you (and others that are having the same problem) are the Minority.
Thus this release is NOT the "worst version released", you just need some SUPPORT.

Go to the support forum and you will be helped.
Be sure to supply a ton of system information when you post :+1:
We will try to pinpoint the problem (It might be a driver or something for example)

Good luck, stop spamming the release thread with your false claims ;)

You should calm down a bit, seriously. No need for flaming, fractal.design was just speaking out loud (or typing ;) ) what everybody else is thinking. "using it for 2 yrs without any problem" doesn't qualify you as an expert. Everybody is in for making mistakes, most probably without knowing to do so. So please shift your frustration to the support forum and ask for some help.

That's the first time I've ever heard someone complain of a search being too fast. LOL! What makes you think that the speed with which it searches has any bearing on the results?

No need to retort to flaming. There was nothing said that qualifies for such rudeness. In any case running eMule can cause a badly configured OS to go belly up.

That's not an argument. The problems often enough appear only for a minority. Just because few users have a problem doesn't make it unimportant. You are right that this belongs into the support or bug reports forum not here tho I guess the devs do want some feedback on the client here so one guy mentioning these issues shouldn't be out of hand.

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

Its not that I think the issue is unimportant, just that a few users getting problems doesnt mean its the "worst release ever".
