I installed 0.46c a couple of days ago and today I noticed that all KAD nodes in the list got yellow or orange or red. Not a single green one! :cry2:

I figured it must be a bad thing and thought I had screwed up something when I messed with my router settings today.

I took me a couple of hours to check everything and finally I suspected Emule version and reverted back to 0.46b... and BINGO! Most of the nodes in the list are green again!

Now, my question is this:

Are there no more green nodes in 0.46c? In other words, is having all yellow (some yellow/red and some red) nodes supposed to be normal in this version?

just wanted to say that my new download problems dont seem to be because of 46c.
used some older versions and mods and got same download rate.
got to complain to isp again i guess, and recheck all the tcp settings.
already reinstalled os (had some other bugs too.....)

I've noticed a definite slowing, both down and up stream. I've got 512/128 dsl i'm lucky if i get more than 30KB/s down and only average 12KB/s up I should be able to do 16 up. I've got the options set to unlimited but can never seem to get a higher UL or DL.

I see no difference in performance here.

Not setting an UL Limit WILL give you poor UL and DL performance.

Regarding Kad. I see many green still, but still waiting for information on the new contact colours/types.

Hmm, didn't expect any panicing with the color of the Kad Icons. :)

Instead of 3 contact connection states, there are now 5.. That's all.. If you just leave kad connected for a while, you will slowly see them start to turn green.. Takes a couple hours.. The more reliable the contact, the less we ping it..

I think I will use the older version. The 46c needs too much memory of my computer and my XP has many lags... :(

0.46b had a nice feature, when browsing comments, there was a button "Search Kad" where Kad searched comments for that file. Where is that in 0.46c?

.: When the uploadcapacity is set to unlimited (0), USS will be automatically enabled to determinate the best uploadspeed

thats an start :)

nice the wizard Has an Unkown setting Very nice this is what Noobs want to see (most users do not know what there upload limit is)

upload = download :)

alot of users have 1024/256 connections (i never seen it in there my self)

and the 128Kb upload gui 12KB upload sounds about right (ISP's do not seem to ever give 16KB upload on 128KB -- 11kb-12kb is about right for the upload speed when downloading when uploading but not downloading you mite get 14kb)

like my 256kb line should do 32KB but norm its 22kb-27kb ii can get close to 30KB but thats force uploading then (downloading and web surfing will be slow)
----------------------------------------------

small thing be nice to have back in is middle button on shared files (it does not work any more)

Emule 0.46c seems to have introduced somes new feature that gives problems in the general performance of the Emule. I try to explain in simple way. With Emule 0.46c I can't have any node green with KAD for example, all yellow or red, while have no problem with 0.46a, and even performance are very different.. Trying the 2 version clean , without credit and so on, sharing only the temp folder shows in few minutes lack of performance even in the upload stability with 0.46c!

please Note the KAD window is for mostly Dev info

it may take some time for the contacts to become green but that does not meen its not working (the contacts been not green for any does not mean you are firewalled)

if you cant see green in the bottem right then all is going ok

Yeah, I'v even found that for any strange reason the colors of kad nodes are changed from ol versions, making confusions in users :-1: But it remains the fact that 0.46c gives a lot of problems in the stability of the upload and in general dl performance respect 0.46a, and if you test you can see in few minutes like I explained before
