You are not going to gain anything by compressing already compressed files (like AVI).
All the ISO I have downloaded so far (not many, though) were .rar compressed. So I think there are the compressed versions for yours as well.

ok so .AVIs are out 
but there was this 1 game that I got that was 800MB and it had this unpack thing that you use after you install it and the game was like 2.4GB!!!!! Talk about savin bandwidth and CDs
EDIT: Maybe this could lead to a new invention or improvement of this zlib thing??? That would be an awesome improvment like the AICH thing which went from 252kbs or something like that to around 9MB?? THATS AMAZING!!! and massive bandwidth saving. I still have to say to whoever did that THANKS A LOT, that was like a genius improvement.

Sorry to sound a bit stupid, but what is the actual procedure for the recommendations you have made?
ie. what exact settings & values do you change and where? Could you provide a walkthrough? Thanks!

Are you talking to me? and about these suggestions?
1.) Concentrate upload on first slot and or lower slots
2.) Set eMule to upload full chunks by default with no option to turn it off
3.) Take off that 60 min download limit, it stops users that are almost done
