When i preview files on emule or even watch completed mpgs/avis,etc there is no sound when i use videolan. There is sound for other progroms but not vlc and i want to use videolan cause its nice.

Howcome i dont get any sound via videolan?

I dont know but, this could be it. The Videolan Control thing... has a bar on the far right side right below the close/minimize/restore buttons. That bar is the volume adjustment, if you dont see any kind of bar, then its all the way at the bottom and pretty much off, so just click somewhere in there and see if it has sound again.
