If you have an alternate audiostream (with the language you want), you can exchange it with the old one using VirtualDub (for avi's) or TMPGEnc (for mpg's), since you just exchange the audiostreams, you don't need to reencode the movie.

If you want to burn data files over 700MB, for instance if you had like an eBook of the encyclopedia set in 700 languages that was 724MB (I don't know, maybe you like to have 700 languages) , go to http://www.divxland.org/mode2cd.htm. With a few tools, you can write any file up to 791MB to a 700MB CD with a 700MB burner. It gives you step-by-step instructions with images. I use this for DivX movies over 700MB to be viewed on a computer later. It has worked for me, never a misburned CD, and better that editing the video to remove credits or re-encode at a lower quality. :D

Hi:
Regarding trying to find alternate audio streams for a couple movies I have:
do people share them? If so, what terminology is used to indicate it's an alternate audiostream and what type of file is it?

Thank-you.

No luck i'm afraid :(
It works with video files but not with img,iso files (because those are data created using mode 1). How do you burn an iso which is about 730MB on a 700MB cd? I remind you i CAN burn it on a 800MB cd successfullybut can't read it afterwards.. what the hell...

any help appreciated........

Although an iso, bin, ect. may be over 700 MB, use the cue file (if available) to burn it with instead of selecting the actual image. I use Nero, and just go to Recorder-Burn Image and select the .cue file. If this still doesn't work, it might be the problem of a corrupted CD-image or an older CD-drive. Some CDs I burn can't be read in older CD drives. Try to read it in the drive you burned it with. If all this still doesn't work, its probably a corrupted image. These will usually burn fine, but either can't be read at all, or can be read but nothing can be run from it (Had my fair share of these too). Anyway, if possible, try to get the .cue file if the image is a .bin, and if not, just burn it on a 700MB CD even though the image may be bigger than 700 MB. In the end, it will usually burn. Hope this helps! :)

At last I did it! A friend of mine suggested i used a program called Alcohol 120% to burn the image instead of Nero. Problem solved :)

Thanks again for your help, hope this is usefull for other ppl as well...

Actually, my friend found it. I'm hosting it off his site right now because stupid yahoo doesn't like me hosting it from them. Just until I make a proper site of course :D !

I am not too happy with the CD-R stuck in my machine as it doesn't support 700+ stuff  (though I went out and got some really expensive 900MB CD ~ what a waste! :hammer2: )
Yup, tried the firmware update. The only thing updated was the guaranty to 0 days... <_<

So, can anybody suggest a sound software to create those .bin & .cue files? My thought goes like this:

1. Download 700+ files.
2. Mount them on image drive with alcohol or some other drug
3. Create image file
4. Burn, baby, burn!

Any thoughts on which software is useful for step three (already tried Nero ~ not happy!)

Cheers!

I haven't read all posts lately, but why do you want to create an image from an image?

But to give you an answer, you can try IsoBuster, with it you can create iso's and bin's out of just anything.
