my logview of blocklist manager (after merging job) indicate :

20120115 17:54:57: Deny IP Count: 1 961 458 494 (out of 4 294 967 296 IP's or 45,66876%)

Does it change anything for me with this "dirt" version taking into account that, so far, I used level 127 (until version 154)?
Was I already using a "dirt" version with those settings?

Dirt is always the same strategy of the Punisher :
- without CIDR (conversion) bogon (BISS bogon...)
- without levels
- sames sources
- no cosmetic correction or restriction on lines comments

If you always use the 127 level, the punisher doesn't have range over 120...

Can I use this version with uTorrent, or should I use Deluge Paranoid IP Filter (Emule) here http://dev.deluge-to...BlocklistPlugin ?
I mean, does it include every IP range known used by corporations or is it filtered of their torrent's clients?
What is the difference between your version and Deluge version?
Anyway, thanks for your efforts.

P.S. I'm using a shared account because I was too bored to create a personal one.
P.P.S. I discovered a couple of days ago what ip filter does even though I used it since the first time I used emule (yes, I always document myself XD), so I was wondering what is the different between different versions of ip filters released online.
Thanks for all!!!!

i don't known the "deluge" build of IPFilter.

you must compare the sources of "dirt" build and sources of "deluge" build to see if they have something different.

yes, ľTorrent can use the "dirt" build of IPFilter ... because, the main construction of "all" IPFilter is standard (aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa-bbb.bbb.bbb.bbb,000,ccccccccccccc).

bitto. network use massive "busybox" and "dedibox" (industrial network server) ... so, IPFilter block this if they send anti-p2p attack and other virus/0kb datas over KAD network.

Thanks for updating ip-filter.
Some servers like TVU, eMule security are filtered. Any reason ?

This new filter seems a bit too paranoid - filters out the last few good ed2k servers.

Took me a few minutes to find out why the tcp port was suddenly unreachable... Doesn't seem so useful.

Not going to ask BISS - they've turned into an adserving business long ago.

port test and ed2k servers are filtered since a long time ago ... read the old log of the "punisher" build.

Well the port test here works. It's the new dirt filter, it even filters the peerates/peerbooter servers that comply with french corpolice laws.

The old Punisher filter had those useful filter levels, this new one doesn't even react to "filter servers too" from emule preferences.

I really don't find this useful and would like to publicly lament the loss of another useful tool :flowers:

dirt is a "speed version" ... i don't have many time to build the punisher.
it's only this.

the job is the same as the ipcheck of elchele but with manual download and merging job + simple test.

for me, i obtain the same result as the punisher.

Hi there :-)

i'm a newbie here and i have a question : which ipfilter is the most "uptodate" one : this one "http://emulepawcio.sourceforge.net/nieuwe_site/ipfilter_fake_list.html" or this one "http://up.sur-la-toile.com/i10a3" because the size is not the same ..... 14 mo for the first one and 22 mo
for the second one.
thanks a lot for your help

cheers

:-)
