I have just started using Windows 10, and it has a strange problem. It starts up OK the first time, but if I close it or minimize it, I can't get it to run again. Using the Task Manger, I see that is running in the 'Background Processes,' but it won't restore to the desktop. Any ideas?

Hello, this can be related to this (unconfirmed) bug.
As a workaround you can try to use the "restore" command line switch.
If your eMule executable is in "C:\Program Files\eMule\", then you can try to open a command prompt and to use:

"C:\Program Files\eMule\emule.exe" restore

Please remember you have to customize your path if it is different from the one I used for my example and that you have to use quotation marks (") if there are spaces in eMule's executable path, like I did.

It is running. Check your notification area (The giant ^). For some reason, it minimizes there instead of into Taskbar like previously. Just double click and it'll reopen.

For some reason

Since Window 7 hidden icons could be seen after clicking upward arrow in system tray.

That is customizable.
