I've looked at known.met in wordpad and it looks huge - really long - but is empty.

remember dowloaded files is checked.

any idea what might cause this?

Hi, this file is not a text file, you cannot use WordPad to read it.
Use eMule MET Viewer instead.

thanks. emule says i've already downloaded the rar file but i can't see it anywhere. where would i find it?

thanks - found it, ran it, looked at known.met and it seems to correctly list everything.

So, my next problem is why dont these files show as green in the search list? files currently in download list show in red, all others are blue or black. and yes, just to confirm the search dues include things ive downloaded and i have selected 'remember downloaded files'.

Test: search and download emule0.50a-installer, then move it from your shared files folder to the desktop, press reload on shared files tab of emule, re-search emule0.50a installer and see if it appears in green.
