I have a rare problem with a download.

I am trying to download a file (AVI) of about 900 MB, it is dowloading but when it reaches about 300 MB of complete download, it goes back to around 260 MB. It never ends. How is this possible? The complete amount is reduced. To me, it doesn't make any sense.

I have dowloaded other files without any problem.

Thanks a lot,
Jose

What messages you have in the Log pane at the bottom of the Servers tab?

I hadn't thought of that....

messages like this:

05/10/2014 12:06:11: Downloaded part 63 is corrupt :( (xxxxxxx.avi)
05/10/2014 12:10:02: Downloaded part 49 is corrupt :( (xxxxxxxx.avi)
05/10/2014 12:12:18: I.C.H.: Recovered corrupted part 39 (xxxxxxxx.avi), Saved: 84.63 KB

So, I figure there must be something wrong with the sources.

Please remove the filename in your post.
Yup, probably a bad source sends you bad data.
It is often an amule2.3.1 with the client name http://emule-project.net
Especially if it is the same source, you can find (through emule verbose log, see options extended to enable it) its IP and block it with the emule ipfilter.
You can add the ip to your ipfilter in this way: option, security, click edit button, it will open a notepad instance named ipfilter.dat, write/type in it xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx , 1 , corrupt data sender, where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is its ip address and corrupt data sender is a description (that you can skip), save the file, press reload button.
INCONCEIVABLE! - You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I have checked the IP in the files with sources aMule but it is the same IP as many other sources for the same file. Am I looking in the wrong place?

The Ip number, that you can see in the client details, is the SERVER ip which the client is connected.
Nothing to do with the client IP.
That's why I wrote about emule options-extended and verbose log (that will appear near the server log, after you have enabled it in options extended). ;)

Thanks. I've got the vervose log now. Now I don't know what do to with it.

I get some error messages like this one:

07/10/2014 16:26:03: Error: Unknown exception c0000005 in CClientReqSocket::PacketReceived at 00E8528D; protocol=eMule opcode=0xb0 size=124; Client=xx.xxx.xx.xxx 'xxxxxxx' (eMule v0.50a,Connected/None/None)

is this a client with corrupte data?

I thought about the error messages that are listed in this topic: Aich Packet Request (click)

IIRC, the error, you are showing, is about wrong permissions for folders/files (but inside Windows; in emule of mine I didn't see it).
In this forum there are about 20 topics with that error, mostly with MODS.
Hence:
What Windows version are you using? (included: service pack, home, pro, ultimate, 32/64bit)
Where do you have downloaded emule (what website)?
And what emule version are you using?

I am using Windows 8.1 Single Language ŋ? 64 bit.
Emule was dowloaded from here: http://www.emule-pro...=17&rm=download
version 0.50

My problem is still with corrupted data and how to avoid it by disabling or removing the client that is sending it.

Thanks for all your help.

When the bad client starts to upload the file to you, you should see in the verbose log something like:
26/04/2012 19.20.34: Download session started. User: 190.71.224.192 'http://emule-project.net' (aMule v2.2.6,OnQueue/OnUploadQueue/None) in SetDownloadState(). New State: 0

When the bad client ends to upload the file (soon, after few kilobytes), you should see in the verbose log something like:
26/04/2012 19.22.30: Download session ended: Disconnected: CClientReqSocket::Disconnect(): Close User: 190.71.224.192 'http://emule-project.net' (aMule v2.2.6,Downloading/OnUploadQueue/None) in SetDownloadState(). New State: 1, Length: 1:56 min, Payload: 27.30 MB, Transferred: 30.51 KB, Req blocks not yet completed: 3.

In that example, the ip was 190.71.224.192 (and I blocked that).
Notice that the bad client could have a dynamic ip, hence you could remove the ip from your ipfilter after few days (and in the meanwhile, you could add its new ip to your list, if it continues).

OK. I think I've got it. I will check the log when aMule is uploading the file. I´ll return when I get any result.

Thanks.

One more question, does it have to be an amule client? or could it be any one emule 0.5 included?

No, it does not have to be amule. If data inside a file gets changed/corrupted, mule would not know about it without rehashing the file.

Like fox88 said.
But it is often an amule client (2.2.6 or 2.3.1), with client name http://emule-project.net
