I decided to do clean up and to leave only 2 rare files to help users getting them (22 clients).

Looking at my upload queue I was surprised to see 4 times the same name [CHN]a1[verycd]xthame with all four downloading the same file with same emule version 0.48a.
All of them have different hash and have not the same progress in downloading.

I dont' believe that 4 users with the same name are looking at the same rare file at the same moment...

In doubt I removed the file.

Have someone an idea outside that someone have 4 computers/VM and download the same file?

Strange...

It's a common mod string of a chinese mod.

not sure.

I saw later that one was ending with [CHN]a1[verycd]YOURNAME. It means that it has been modified at some point and that "yourname" should be the generic mod name, normally.

Where I'm confused it's on the fact that I'was sharing this rare file only with arround 10-12 users. 4-5 of them cannot have the same
surname I guess. Moreover the download is a french version...

Perplexed who's behind this (...)

I do not understand the problem.

I have 200 clients all named h*tp://emule-project.net and they are downloading the same file, downloading other files, hang out in he same queue ...

So maybe som verycd-user posted a link for the file on a verycd-forum or their facebook or what have they in China or such and that's why you have four verycd-mods downloading the file.

Who knows, maybe a group of fellow Chinese students of French language or French cinema.
I mean i download French stuff sometimes and I am German.
