since using Win 8.1 I had to re install Emule, Now I can not get ED2K to connect.
At the bottom of the screen it says connecting and thats all.
Kad is working okay.

I have done as you suggested but seem to have a ginx and no luck to connect

How many servers do you have?
Options - Server, be sure 'Autoconnect to servers in static list only' in untiked.

I am facing the same problem: E2Dk not connecting.
It was OK but is not anymore. I did not change anything.

Did you do everything I said? Only 7 servers and the options I said unticked?
