i just wanted to ask about servers.
is it kademlia the reason for abandoning the servers?
why, for example this site: http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html, which is first result in google if you enter server.met for search string, have all those servers? emule can't connect to them.

Yes, but is meaningless to me. Servers and Kad are two different networks and two is better than one.

eMule-Security is filtering ed2k://|server|46.105.126.71|4661|/ and it's not a spam or fake server. It's runned by a spanish forum and it's working fine. It hasn't obfuscation but it works perfect and it connects with High ID.

You said http://peerates.net/servers.php is a good server list when peerates and peerboter are indexing nothing good

Yes, the list is a good servers list, in that list you can find Peerates servers and other servers, too.
PeerBooter and PEERATES.NET can store data about files in a white list only (or so). There are differences between 'index poorly' (due to french laws by the way) and 'indexing nothing good'

lets see..... two of three rules of a trustable server on first chance:
Indexes all files: peerates nope... at least france laws doesnt allow this
Free trafic of files: peerates nope ... it limited uploads when u conect to it on first time
obfuscation: Peerates yup
lets see other server
i will call it server... ok?
indexes all files: server.. Yup it not mind what a kind file u want it shows
free trafic of files: server.. yup, tested
obfuscation: Nope... old lugdunun version, not supported
pst... i do not see probs... with over 4gb files...
Seems better than your option
see u by yourself... open your mule... and try, cheers
P:D: I do not mean that emule-security or emule-english are bad lists, but not complete, filter is good as well... other lists shown are bad like worst. We already know we have kad... but some p2p apps nope... i think while users are using these p2p apps without kad... servers are an option.

I said *that server* cannot store information about >4GB file.
If you share a file bigger than 4GB and you are connected to that server and that server won't store information about that file then I see a problem.
Anyway you probably misunderstood what I said: I said peerates' servers list is a good servers list even if that list includes PeerBooter and PEERATES.NET because they are somewhat functional servers and not fake ones.

We have some tests and forms to discard or add trustable servers.... first chance are these three rules, there are others.
who did... who know... as all of us know... a valid server is a server which: allows trafic of files, dont have any files or limit of files, and dont have any scanner of files... i dont need to continue peerates's servers dont allow those three rules, try ask help bots on support channels or search for meaning of "trustable server"

Last test on peerates net, 2014-12-30 showed that when u open mule and connect (on first time of every conection)to peerates your mule dont upload anything, this is meaning
