Hello, since i came to live in London my pc, that before in italy by Upnp was always high id in Emule without any problem, now is always low. I have a BT Home Hub 5 and went immediately on 192.168.254 to forward the ports.
It seems although that in this model there is no chance to do it in the classic way of setting manually TCP and Udp ports. You simply have to add it as a game or application in the settings and then it is supposed to do all by itself (i can't find any field to set manually the ports). I did it, the problem is that it remained all the same...
Any suggestion? I am wondering why, differently from my connection in Italy, here Upnp doesn't work? Should i set in some way a fixed ip? If yes how could i do it?

Thank you very much
Andrei

Not solved actually. Investigating better i discovered that it might be a BT router bug. I have Home Hub 5 Router, and even forwarding correctly the ports it doesn't change anything except fr some very rare cases. I really don't understand why.

Hi there are you by chance using McAfee the free security program that comes with BT?
I had the same problem. I solved it by getting a free trial of Bitdefender I guess many other
programs would work equally well, but that was free to try for a month and it solved my problem
straight away. So I bought it(at the end of the month) and now have a high ID.
McAfee that comes as free with BT can always be reinstalled if for some reason
your new trial does not work.
Hope this helps
