Hi, I get a low ID not matter what I do.


Windows 8
Emule v 0.50a
Router is a Belkin F7D2301 v1
ISP DSL extreme.
Apter is Realtek PCIe GBE family controller


I've tried disabling both windows firewall and the router firewall
I've also bypassed the router altogether
I can connect but TCP pot test always fails.
I've also twiddled with the router settings some, but no luck.

What am I missing?

emule can give you a lowid for one of these issues :

1)misconfigured routers

2)misconfigured firewall

3)ISP is blocking eMule's ports

4)faked server list

This router supports UPnP, if you enable UPnP then you can read in Servers - Log if it works, if UPnP works and then you doubleclick on a server and then you get a LowID the problem should be a firewall.

OK, sorry about not getting back to you for so long. Life's been crazy. I think your list did the trick. No more sunglasses. Thank you so much for your help. The port forwarding for my router really helped. I don't know why they make it so damn complex. I'm having trouble downloading a KAD server thingy, but I'll post that question on the "Getting And Keeping Reliable Server List" thread.

KAD has no dedicated servers and thus has no relation to keeping reliable server list.

I have the same problem, have try the solution mentioned in this post, but TCP testing is still failed. the dowloading speed now is under 50K/s!
