Haven't ridden my old donkey for years.
Seems that the 'safe' and 'secure' version I obtained several years ago does no longer work, as it fails to connect to any actual eD2K server and hence to the KAD network? All I see is 'Fatal error while trying to connect' or 'server appears to be dead'.

For test purposes I did try 0.50a and after some fiddling and reading about the hanging KAD connection attempt I got this one to run.
I'd rather use the useful old version though, any chance left?
Are there similar mods on the current release that have the same features as my old version?

Living in Germany means to be extremely cautious; we have silly laws about rigorous and pricy 'Abmahnung' (cease and desist) cases for even trivial downloads.
Hence my "anal approach to the donkey" (what a nasty picture THAT is...)

I recommend you to use the last official eMule, but anyway you have to update your serverslists and to download a new nodes.dat.

I forgot to mention that I am interested in the Flux mod version only.

Of course I downloaded the latest nodes and server list files. These list DO allow for a working connection with 0.50a as said.

The error is only occurring for the 0.47c (and the FLUX mod) version, NOT for the 0.50a.
As said I really want to stick to the old FLUX mod, as I have not seen similar mods in newer releases, hence my question here.
Anyone?
