I've been trying to get eMule to connect to Kad for days but it refuses to work, so I need an alternative that I can use to finish the unfinished downloads which I need as soon as possible..

Does anyone know of something else that can finish off these files, and where I don't have to redownload the whole file again? Thanks

You need to bootstrap your kad of a up to date nodes dat, than it should work

I've tried the nodes dude it doesn't work, which nodes do you use from that website?

Anyway, you don't need to connect kad given that you download files from other clients.
If your files have got sources (other clients that have your files, totally or partially), you should only wait and stay connected.

Doesn't work. Either something is rotten within eMule or windows update has caused this. Everything is dead. You talk about connecting through shared files ... these are all dead also 0 requests on all of them

And I followed that links instructions many times before you posted it, was no help at all

Please, are there any alternatives to eMule that I can use to continue downloading the rest of the unfinished files????

Ideally would like access to the eMule listings as it was always useful for finding really obscure files that nobody else seems to have, before it went wrong

You can try to use Shareaza. It has build-in Import incomplete Edonkey downloads.
But when your sources count is zero, than it is zero.

You got G1, G2, DC++ and torrent- networks as well.
Wishing you luck to find some sources. And a hint: Raza uses a special algorithm.
There is a need to click -> Search -> More every quarterhour.
Sidenote: It's tricky harder to configure. So, no other hobbies the next 3 month.

As far as I see from the discussions, there is no full KAD support, is there?

Topic starter could not cope with KAD, and you suggest something that is harder to configure.

Yeah, driving a bike with 150 HP needs a little more expirience, than a bike with 20 HP
He is searching for sources, not for KAD. Who needs Kad, if you have G2 enabled.

Oh, and yes, kad is not yet. As soon as the dev's found some time, it will be.
Option is there, but some code needed.
And he was asking explicit for an alternative.

If file is shared in KAD only, how G2 will know about it?

It's beyond my glow....files only KAD-shared
But it can happen. That's be true.
In that special case my alternative was a not so good suggestion.
