I am looking for an emule that will give me the capability to manage my total download/upload on a monthly basis,(or variable time period defined by user). Being on ATT DSL I need to be able to handle that or I get charged significant amounts by ATT when I go over the data limit capacity.
Ideally I would like to see this as a feature that did it dynamically, so as I add downloads it does a best estimate and limits the download and even the upload so as to fit withing the data limit envelope left for that month. This would also likely have to have a scheduler to show cutoff dates (one month being 28 days, the other 31... etc).
But even a coarse grain of total data up/down for xx period of days would be good.
Even there I can see some finer grained control for example, it would basically stop or slowdown the up/down as it approaches milestones. (my total is 250gig's a month, I would set it for lets say 200, so it would limit the upload/download speeds as it gets to 150gig if there are a few days left in the time period, or more drastic limits on download if it approaches that but the majority of the time period is still left to be used).

Anybody know of such a feature in any mod????

If I remember right actually there are no mods that allow you to do that. Btw u can check your total uploaded/downloaded in statistic, just reset them every 30 day.

Maybe scheduler options can help you (you can limit download/upload at X hour or day) but I'm not sure.

There aren't automatic settings or scheduler options for stopping data transfering after you've reached certain threshold of data traffic.

I've suggested this feature 2 years ago, but as you can see (Transfer Cap) , without success. Posted Image

On uTorrent there is TransferCap so, if u want, u can try it.

that is in fact were I saw it last, tho I have been thinking of this for a while, but I rather use ed2k over torrent. I was just hoping somebody had done so in a mod. This is actually something that should be in the main client, given today's reality with transfer caps on pretty much every major ISP in the USA and for that matter in many European countries. Thank you for the information.
