Hello,
still sharing the same base set I had for about 6 or 7 years
(600 or so music videos). I haven't used eMule in a while.
I used it often 4 or 5 years ago. My upload B/W is similar,
about 80 KB p/s. I maintain that upload speed, and after many hours,
there would be hundreds, almost 1000 clients showing up on the queue,
while 3-5 would be uploading.

I've recently tried the official release as well as the MorphXT version
and the amount of users on the queue never goes above 65.
Where is everybody? My files not popular anymore?

I'm using KAD and UsenetNL.biz. I tried some other servers, but it didn't
make any difference.

Music tastes change; number of users in eMule is lower than 5 year ago.
On the positive side, short queue means that users get files faster.

Seems like less users in general then?
I specialized in mainly music videos from the 60's and 70's,
and some sports videos, mainly English soccer clips.

Perhaps Youtube took over.

Regarding Hooligan3000's comment, "the servers has the same information..." I though this was the case but was
never 100% sure. One of the things causing the doubt was that some of the servers return no search results
while others do.

I see smaller numbers in eMule, but
KAD gives only estimated numbers. A few user connect to fake servers, which I do not have in my list.
Less, but nothing like 20 times less.

So I thought: that's not what kids are listening now.
Those who were interested mostly have that contents already.
