Waiting time has ended - here's a new kMule release!
We simplified the GUI even more... at least that's what we think. We replaced the old "Low ID"/"High ID" terms by "Firewalled" and "Open", cleaned up the directories dialog, joined "Messages" and "Security", the splash screen now shows the current IP filter loading progress and you can extract the proxy parameters from IE simply by clicking a button.
kMule now has the nice option to automatically extract downloaded archives (we ship the 7za.dll for that) and additionally we took further care of WINE users. As kMule is pretty popular among Linux users, we fixed another potential crash cause - check out the details in our changelog!

Just a quick update this week, I won't write much about it - sorry, but I'm sick
Fixed the reported issues and changed the upload system... and included a completely new feature (custom searches) - see the changelog for details.

Again, tux and I are proud to present another kMule release. We reverted some libraries so the GUI glitches some ppl experienced are gone. Additionally, kMule will run under XP again
I added hashing progress and improved file hash by hashing small files first (so they can be shared faster).
Because some ppl had upload issues, we reverted the upload mechanism... hopefully it works for you, now

tuxman and I are proud to present the first version of kMule.
Before anything else, we want to thank the developers of eMule for the base and all beta-testers for their commitment.
Our goal was to create a lighter client - in two senses.
On the one hand we removed quite a lot of ballast from the eMule base and on the other hand we tried to make the client as simple as possible to make it possible for every user to experience P2P.
We included a lot of features but nearly all of them are "invisibly" working for you - if you want to know more, you should check out the changelog.
You can download the new client via *mule:
