First of all, you should make a scan with an antivirus for those files. Given that I think that you have already installed them, I advise you to do a full system scan.
If you want to download application/exe files, you should search them with great care (using the min/max size filters)...
Nevertheless you would do better to search them first on a search engine (like google for example).

They should mostly work fine with no special treatment needed.
If you have win 7 pro or ultimate, you can try XP-mode (virtual xp-machine), but for "modern" 32-bit applications this should not be necessary.

Hi bbaten,
My advice: never download any .exe file, software... never!
Firewalls and antivirus are not perfect and you'll get infected very soon if you do that.
Well, it's up to you to take such risks.
Best regards,
T.

Setting administrator rights if it doesn't?
Are you serious?
Ever heard of "virusses"?
You don't really want them to work dude. If I were you I would uninstall eMule and delete all the files I have, then setup my computer clean. Or better, just keep away from computers altogether and let somebody else use them.
Wow. Unbelievable.

If it says "Britney and Christina hot mud wrestling action.avi", it's probably NOT what it says.
Applying that rule mercilessly, I have never DL'd a fake. Fo'real.
If it says "Britney and Christina hot mud wrestling action.exe", it's certainly NOT what it says.
When you look for avi files and you get an .exe you know something is wrong.
When you look for setup.exe files with eMule you play with your life.
Not every virus will be found with your virus scanner. Some new viruses are not yet identified. And a setup.exe can setup just about any program. Including 1 that may not be a virus in the strict definition, but may do something very undesirable anyway. Even if it is only spread itself under water via kad and ed2k.
Additional to what is in niRRity’s link: if you find an archive of files you want, somebody can easily put a setup.exe in that installs some kind of virus. The golden rule is;
If you don’t need it or know what it is, don’t run it.
For instance I downloaded a set of 6 videos the other day in a .rar file. It contained a virus disguised as a setup file for a player.
A video that shows only a screen with the text “this file can only be played with this or that player. Install the program with setup.exe” are usually just that: a video telling you to set up that program, and therefore essentially fakes from any other utility view.
Anyone can use eMule to spread anything. So you always have to be careful when you use it.

What exactly is your problem? You have been a bit too vague. Are you trying to run 32bit programs under a 64 bit environment (a Windows issue and not directly related to anything eMule), or do you just have files that are being pulled out from under your feet by the antivirus software hovering in the background trying to keep you from killing your machine (another non-eMule related Windows issue)?
Do you have the same issues when loading legitimately sourced 32bit software sourced from official channels? Does the vendor support forums have discussion on what problems are encountered and how they are solved in respect of your specific problems?
Is your hard drive faulty, or do you have faulty memory chips? Do you have a mixture of 64 and 32 bit system files that have been incorrectly installed? Is your Windows environment stable, updated and patched? What does your system event/error log have to say? How about the event log of your anti-malware products you might have running?
