With my previous router I had no issues connecting.

Now I've upgraded to Virgin Media's Superhub, I cannot get it working.

I've read all the guides, but it just doesn't seem to work.

I first tried the default ports, now I'm using 6001(TCP) and 58001(UDP). Ports are forwarded in the router. I have set my computers IP to static (matching the IP configured for the forwarding).
I have disabled the Router's firewall, and even tried disabling my Pc's firewall.

Use of either emule's web-check, or PortForward's Port checking tool show that my TCP port is blocked. Nothing is logged on the router.

Can anybody help?

0) Make sure you know how to reset (to factory defaults) your device and note down the data for connecting to your ISP.
(in case of troubles, you can reset the router and you'll need those data - vpi - vci - username and password of your connection, and so forth... these data are personal/private, you_SHOULD_NOT_post_them_here --- ONLY you should know them).
1) Which windows version are you using?
2) Name of your ISP, name of your connection and, possibly, downstream and upstream bandwiths
3) How many servers do you have into your list and where do you get them from?
4) Manufacturer and model of your router?
5) Describe how your devices are arranged.
example:
- telephone jack - adsl filter - ethernet modem - router - 3 pc (1 wireless, 2 wired)
6) How many pcs are using p2p programs (emule or others) and which ports are they using?
7) Screenshots of your router menus are welcome:
- UPNP
- DHCP
- virtual server/port forwarding or similar
- eventual firewall screen (of your router)
8) Have you put static ip to your pc (into tcp/ip properties of your connection properties)?
Here too, a screenshot would be welcome.
9) Which firewalls/antiviruses are present/installed on your pc?
10) Are you using peerguardian/peerblock/ip filters or similars? And what of those?

INCONCEIVABLE! - You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
italian guides - guide della sezione italiana --- come ottenere aiuto
italian support - sezione italiana --- scaricare la lista server --- i filtri ip
ottenere id alto --- aprire le porte nel router --- recuperare file corrotti

1) Windows 7 up to date
2) Virgin, (Connection name?), Bandwidth - I get approx 4Mb/sec down, 500k/sec up
3) I haven't proceeded as far as using emule yet - both it's port checker and Portforward's port check show no TCP connection. http://s1208.photobu...t=PortCheck.png
4) Router is Virgin Media's superhub - I think it's acustom Netgear combined router/modem: http://help.virginme...OMER_TYPE=Cable

5) Cable connection to Superhub ---> Wireless adapter in Desktop Pc/ 2 wired connections to NAS boxes, mobile/laptop also connect by wireless

6) Just the one Desktop Pc with wireless connection

9) I use Comodo - I disable it (i.e. close the firewall app) when testing. Windows Firewall is disabled.

Yes,

I reset my router when nothing I tried worked - started again with the default settings.
Then used the ports which emule suggested by default - 6058 and 59572. I can change them again to 6001 and 58001 but it makes no difference, I still get no connection through TCP.

You can use the ports that you want, but they should be the same in your emule option connection and in your router...
Check the diagonal arrows, on the little globe to the bottom, instead of the port check.

I am using the same ports in each now as shown in the screenshots.

When I try to connect to eDonkey Server No. 2 I get the following log:

1) Disable upnp, close emule, open emule, connect it and check the arrows on the little globe - If green, you have done it!
2) If arrows are yellow yet, try changing ports, enable upnp in emule, restart emule WAIT 1-2 minutes that upnp does its job (you can see the upnp messages in server log).
When upnp will finish and if it will send you the positive message, connect emule and check the arrows.

I tried the following:

1) Disabled UPNP in the router, allowed the router time to reboot.
2) Opened emule with UPNP disabled - attempted to connect - got yellow arrow (lowid)
3) Reenabled UPNP in the router, allowed it time to reboot
4) Closed emule and reopened with UPNP enabled
5) Attempted to connect - got yellow arrow (lowid)
6) Disabled firewall on pc.
7) Closed and restarted emule - attempted to connect - got yellow arrow (lowid)

I did some more playing around - tried using my VPN which meant adding a rule in my firewall for the emule app.
Got the same result. uninstalled the VPN, modified the firewall rule to allow all, and updated the server.met file and suddenly I have a good connection!!

Note, that I had run many tests with the firewall disabled, so I doubt the addition of the rule changed much - maybe updating the server list??
ANyway, now all the port checks report green too, so I'm really puzzled, but happy it's all now working!

Thanks for the help.

Well done ;)
Untick "use upnp.." in option connections, if you are using manual port forwarding (It seems they are incompatible)
