Hi,
I’m sure there is a way to do it – but can’t find it…
After using emule for a while something went wrong with the history option,
Now I can download the same file over and over again (assuming after each download I delete the file),
So as long as the file in not currently on my computer I can redownload it over again.
Is there a way to enable the history option so when I try to download a file that I have download in the past – I will get some error or something like that?
Thanks.

There is no way to forbid download or explicitly warn you - only if you still keep sharing/downloading the file.
If you keep the history of known files, you could see coloured lines in search results and status in the rightmost (assuming the default order) column.
You can create collection of all known files and check by file hash if you need - manually, of course.
PS. This check against the history should be quite simple, and maybe it was already implemented in one of the mods.
