I want to share some files in a special way. For that I need a Mod that can run at the same computer at the same time as official eMule. I want it to definitely NOT use the same settings as my official eMule installation. The temp file and incoming file folders have to be different, and also the port settings (to allow high id to both).
Also it has to be secure in the sense that it has to thoroughly hash check and correctly save good parts of every downloaded chunk before it makes it available for upload.
I want to use it to counteract rogue uploaders of faulty chunks by simply offering good chunks lavishly. Therefore I want to use it with a moderate download speed and a high upload speed.
Is there a mod that can do that?

I tried to use aMule for it and it seems to work, but I have the impression it doesn’t check validity of the chunks properly. So to be sure I want something else.

Which one should I use? And what should I consider installing it and setting it up?

And it needs good logging of bad chunks. Preferably with a reference to the uploaders of that chunk and a possibility to manually block uploaders.

Seems I already did it with just official eMule.
I made a new installation in a different program files directory. I set it to saving the settings in the program directory. So now I can set it up independent of my other eMule installation. Hope this will work.

If people have good suggestions about mods and why they would do better you are always welcome.

Somebody spammed the xpd mod to me. But that one generally sux. When I installed it it didn’t add anything. It didn’t install a second client. It only f*cked up my settings.
And it’s bad. It cann’t do what eMule can and less.

And it’s sloooow. After and hour it didn’t even get to 10% of my normal download speed.
My advise:

XPD Mod : DON’T DO IT!!!!

And now I am trying to be nice.
Beware of anything with a demons head and beware of people who sneak in the shadow.
If the guy knew he had a good client he wouldn’t have pm’ed me to tell it. He could just say it here in the open.

This did not work. In the beginning it worked but later it wouldn't start the second client.
So I still need a solution.

Update: and now it seems to work again. I will have to give it a try and see how it develops.

Check out http://www.emule-pro...1&rm=show_topic though the solution to YOUR problems seems to be missing (?)... anyways, just add
IgnoreInstances=1
to your preferences.ini file(s) and you can run multiple mules at the same time. If you choose to store your settings in your program dir, you can also have different settings per mule - see http://www.emule-pro...9&rm=show_topic for that.

EDiT: or launch emule.exe -ignoreinstances, that will do the same.

Thank you for your advice.
I did that last thing. It will give a few errors in Windows 7 if you don't know the trick.
The trick is: right click on the shortcut to eMule, in the tab "shortcut", push the button "advanced". Then you can set "execute as administrator". (I roughly translate it from Dutch.)
After that eMule can save your settings in the program files directory.

A short update:
The rogue uploader is also a rogue downloader. So I need a mod that can block a user hash for both upload and download.
