Emule has been running for about four years very reliably on my trusty XP box but the box is creaky now, and I need to move everything to my shiny new Windows 7 machine.
Clearly I don't want to lose my part-downloaded stuff, indeed, I would like to just move it all "as is", especially including emule's memory of files I've previously downloaded (i.e. "red" results in Search lists).
Is everything contained in the working folders, or are there registry entries or config/settings files held elsewhere on the system?
What would the recommended order of play be
- install on new machine, then copy old machine's folders over the top?
- copy files first, then install over the top?
- or can I just copy, and manually create my StartPrograms shortcut?

1) disable UAC
2) download official emule from sourceforge.net
3) install it
4) take your old config files and put them in your new config folder
5) put your temp and incoming folders wherever you want
6) open emule and change the paths in options - directories, close and restart emule

i movied e mule to new pc this is not my first time but this time i can not get my temp file though i directed to the right folder may be windows 7 is not working good with e mule pls advise
