I have a question for releasers :angelnot:
Sorry But why official mule is still a leech?
Why do I still need to set upload 12KB and download infinity?
Anyone can upload 12KBps add a lot of fakes or desired files and not giving anything in return?

Why is the official has no forced 1:3 ratio?

Actually it's 10kB and MORE ACCURATELY it's (can be) even worse because of USS...
The ratio question was asked a lot of times but to no avail... :( - and basically you would need a 1:1 ratio to prevent leeching at all ;)

10KBps yes indeed! I Slept that.
And Yes.
Anyone who has more downloads than sending basically is a leech
but we have asymmetric links so let's be tolerant :)

Thanks for the info. So I thought that the topic has already been raised but why still no change?

If you don't trust P2P vision (real vision), don't use linked software... :D
for a little leech environment, you have a strong people that they upload a lot. :-k

not like in bitto. or direct-link... :angelnot:

Its allowed for an unknown reason but try to be kind to neighbors, upload what u can and if u can afford to do 30KB upload but set it to 12, your doing a disservice unless u run 24/7 but would still be better if u can upload 30KB if can afford it rather than 10 or 12KB.

Since it's a long time since eMule was released and this design-decision was met I think rethinking that decision is not the baddest idea. With nowadays DSL-connections it should not be a problem to raise the 10kb-border to at least 20kb as a first step or (better solution) the implementation of a fixed 1:3 ratio.

You want a light mod with source-dropping, Powershare and WiZaRd's ClientAnalyzer ?
Try Spike2-Mod !

You rather want to stick to official eMule but don't want to miss all the new fixes and optimizations from the mods ?
Try OfFixed-Mod !
