Hello, I've been using emule for some years. Just now I've decided to request some features.

I've read that if I launch a new file, the other peers will start uploading once they have achieved 9500 KB. If this is correct I think that the best way could be to upload that amount of data to the first peer, and so on.
Right now I'm uploading 4 KB/s to 9 peers and they are not uploading anything. Even more: the client wich has received the biggest amount of data has stopped in 7.30 MB and the other clients that are far from sharing are receiving faster upload. I've would like to turn off my PC right now and think that this file is alive, it will dissapear completely now till I connect myself again.

And I don't know if this is correct, but I would say that I'm sharing the same chunks of the file with all of them. Wouldn't be better if I share all the file in different chunks in different clients?

Another thought... is the neccesity of servers a weak point in eMule?. Would be possible in a future a nice working without servers?

Best regards

PD: It's a pity not to have an option to be anonymous in emule.

There is an option to try to upload the whole parts already.

The other client requests for file data and decides what to get and when/where to stop.

eMule already tries to request different parts, but it's not a trivial task.

Please press Docs button above and read about Kademlia. It's here for years.

You should have spent a little time reading sticky topic. The answer is 'never'.
