would be nice to see in a new emule realese a file buffer more big/large size than current max size ....only 1.5 MB are really few MB .....it means an exhausting work for all the hhd . i know some mods have a bigger file size or an intelligent buffering...but the official emule should be more hhd-friendly ...IMHO .

I think it is of no use if not combined with configurable /higher cache flushing times.

I remember how disappointed I was about the little effect of larger cache (slider in extended options :+1:) in BastarD mod.
But when combined with longer flushing interval, it takes effect. (small, but still)

There are also OS cache and HDD cache. While it is possible to add more levels of caching, effect would be limited.
