New at this but all ISO and RAR files that I get won't open , the say can't find file, bad format and so on any help, seem like i'm just wasting my time. tried all the progams for the file extensions but nothing helps.

Then the file name, including the extension, is probably misleading / false.

In the most cases these files turn out to be either porn.avi or just random junk data. In the latter case you often get a bad-file warning in the log when connecting to a server.

Even thouhg it is outdated, for most common cases gspot is still useful for determining what kind of file a file is, and if you have the codecs to play them (for media files).

I guess there are more modern alternatives to gspot, but I do not know about them.

Thanks for the help you cleared that one up, they were all mpg files not what I thought I was downloading. Thanks
