My emule has been running continuously for 6 months downloading without problem but suddenly it disconnected itself 2 days ago.
I now cannot reconnect.
It tries each server in turn but keeps replying "server appears dead".
Testing of Ports keeps failing.
As does Upnp.
Have tried to nullify the firewall by switching it off also I have bypassed the router but no solution.
Have also tried downloading emule again after removing my existing emule.But problem persists.
It has been superb up to now.
Any assistance would be welcome.

mod of emule is a solution ... the TTL feature check the connexion and "suspend" the process of eMule to wait that the PPP connection is reconnected.

normal emule don't check this.

example: katana mod, beba mod, etcs...

Not understanding much of yr reply. I'm not too conversant with computers but have a little knowledge.
Managed to download Katana mod and opened the Katana mule by opening programme 0-50a-katana-2.1.
Are you supposed to merge the two Katana-2.1 and my emule?. Cannot find any instuctions on how to install.
Found reference to ttp under Options-Mod-other, which refers to ping settings.
If you can explain in more detail would appreciate.

Still no joy accessing emule. Downloaded a couple of different platforms to emule and same problem persists.
Have tried to use software to test if IP is blocking P2P networks but nothing definitive.
Have put my router back on line after bypassing to be sure that it was not the culprit.
Have enabled upnp which is now working again also carried out Port forwarding.(This was all functioning without problem before I lost connection).
Have written to IP provider to see if he is blocking P2P but no reply to date.
My system details are:
Operating system-Windows Xp
Router and USB adaptor TL-WR54KIT
Wireless network-Netcom
Hotspot provider 2 to 3 MB UbriqueNet.
No Problem downloading from internet.
Hope this info will suffice.

Is "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)" service disabled?

Do not use ICS.
The Sharing tab is not available as I have have only one network connection.

Ok, so UbriqueNet is your ISP. Your router and USB adaptor is part of a TL-WR54KIT.
But what is Wireless network-Netcom ?

Can you connect to Kad network?

Wireless Network provider is Netcom
Ubriquenet.com is who I have the contract with. I assume they have some agreement to use the Netcom Network.
Kad is not possible.
