Can't Obtain High Id, Several Takes...

So far I'm unable to obtain a high ID. I tried opening ports in my router (see screenshot), to no avail.
In my eMule it says TCP is 20540, UDP is 11072. I usually disabled UPnP, but enabling it gave the same results?!
Here are a few more details:
Modem & WLAN Router combo (i.e. this is a modem and WLAN router together; no separate modem needed):
D-Link DSL Router DSL-2640B
UPnP enabled.
ISP: Telemar/Oi Velox 10M (this is in Brazil)
Connection speed:
Downstream: 11293 Kbps
Upstream: 572 Kbps
Arrangement:
Telephone jack -> modem/router combo -> laptop (wireless connection)
Only one laptop uses p2p programs, and eMule (v0.50a) is the only program in use.
Not sure what it means to put static IP to my PC though.
eMule settings in the Windows 7 firewall:
There are *no* antivirus programs in use. And I deactivated the Windows 7 firewall at one point. In my modem/router I couldn't locate a firewall?! As for using peerguardian/peerblock/ip filters, I have no idea what that is and I guess I don't have any...
I've also checked ports using PFPortChecker and it consistently says it could ping the router but the port would not be open or is not reachable?!
What am I missing or doing wrong? Any help is much appreciated.

2) advanced menu at top, advanced lan menu at left, check if UPNP is enabled (if not, enable it, apply and save settings)
3) press the lightning (disconnect emule)
4) disable win fw
5) emule option connection, tick "use upnp..." and press apply
6) check the server log for UPNP messages... If it is succesful, press connect (and you should see two green arrows on the little globe at bottom-right = high id!!!)
7) set the win fw and check if you have high id yet

Did what you said, step-by-step. However, at step 6 the server log displayed this:
Quote
10/5/2011 8:38:05 PM: UPnP failed to setup port forwardings, please foward those ports manually if necessary!
And now? :-/

However, it didn't work. Even PFPortChecker said it could ping the router but the port would not be open or is not reachable?!

You did not. Because port forwarding should be done, not port triggering.
For that, use Virtual Server settings page.

I entered the 193.169.86.73 from TV Underground 1, or my own IP, to no avail so far.
Also, am I supposed to enter something for "Remote Ip" and if so, which?

1) start - all programs - accessories - command prompt
2) it opens a black window (emulating dos - disk operative system) in which you'll write: ipconfig (press enter)
Your private ipv4 (something like 192.168.1.x) and gateway (192.168.1.1) will appear.
3) server ip address = your ipv4

Blank!
you should also put static ip to your pc, check www.portforward.com for that, there is a guide.
Otherwise ask here
PS: untick upnp in the router and in emule.

The IP it displayed was 10.1.1.3, by the way. And although I used that one before, I think deactivating UPnP in the router did the trick (& perhaps establishing that IP as a static one).
At first I experienced a disconnection of the router after a few minutes (two times). When I chose to not connect to a server (in eMule) and to connect to Kad only the connection remains active and stable (since 1 hour now).
Is there something I might need to adjust in the settings so that a connection to an eMule server won't kill my entire internet connection?
Again, thank you very much for your help so far. Much appreciated.
I'm very happy! It's my first connection with a high ID! :-)

Probably you didn't set well your upload limit, we need (one of) these informations:
- Internet connection type (Bandwidth, Eg: 1024/320 DSL): you can find your nominal bandwith on your ISP website
- bandwith test, with every program closed, at different hours/times
Or you can do the test directly with emule: if you remove your upload limit and put download limit to 1 and wait few minutes, you'll see the upload will increase up to a number, and that number will be your real upload capacity
Anyway, when you'll know your real upload capacity, multiply it by 0.75 (3/4) and you'll have your correct upload limit (and probably you won't see anymore disconnections, hopefully).

Yes, my gateway is 10.1.1.1 (probably factory default of my D-Link DSL-2640B modem/router combo).
Like I mentioned, by bandwith is:
Downstream: 11293 Kbps
Upstream: 572 Kbps
It's a DSL connection.
In eMule, at first I had specified an upload limit of 13KB/s (see screenshot in my first post), while at the time of my last post (when I had the disconnections with the high ID in conjunction with a connection to an eMule server) it was even set to 10KB/s. (Right now it's at 11KB/s.)

I thought the default gateway should be 192.168.1.1 (I see often this router in the irc channel), but maybe it changes between nations...
Well, your upload capacity should be 72 and your upload limit should be 54.
If you see disconnections with this limit, there are other problems (like other p2p programs running on your LAN)

Could be. This router was sold in Brazil. (I too remember the other IP you mentioned, from my old D-Link router.)

eMule is the only p2p program that's running and this only on one computer.
Which other problems could cause this? Again, it's stable since I chose to remain disconnected from a server.

Do you have official emule?
Have you downloaded official emule 0.50a from sourceforge.net?
