Hello all,

I have been using eMule for a few years now and everything was ok.

Since a couple of weeks though my download does not work anymore and I think that the reason is that my KAD window have no contacts.

I tried to boostrap it from known clients but it does not change anything. My KAD window is still empty and it blocks my dowload because my server list is ok on the other side.

Has someone experienced the same kind of problems before ?

Do you have any tips to help me fill my KAD contacts list in order to be able to download properly ?

For that you need many known sources; otherwise there is nothing to bootstrap from. Queue very popular files for example.

That does not work the way you think: disconnected KAD does not block anything. Probably server list is full of fakes though.
Try to read guides section, there are topics for getting clean server list and connecting KAD.

Hello

I'm having the same problem but don't know where to find the answer.

Until today, eMule worked fine but the Kad list is now totally empty; I can successfully download a new list in the "Servers section" and connect to any server.

In the Kad interface, clicking on "Bootstrap" or waiting makes no difference.

What should I try to get eMule (0.50a) to connect to the Kad network again?
