What does this mean?...it's been bugging me a lot these days. And I can't get to bottom of this. All I get is this sound and then the following message appears. What seek failed, why, how do I get it to work?


Unexpected file error while writing (file-name) : Seek failed on F:\Test\245.part


Oh and I'm using the latest morph mod on windows 7 64 bit.

on the morphxt the option "beep on error" is set by default .......so 1 error on emule 1 beep

"Unexpected file error while writing XXX : An unknown error occurred while accessing C:\Program Files\eMule\temp\YYY.part

While eMule was trying to complete a file, it encountered a problem with the part file. Possible reasons are

- a moved Temp dir or .part file
- another program is accessing this file (e.g. Virus scanner, another p2p)

Check the reasons and restart eMule."

Sorry about double post. I was to hasty writing it so forgot about this mod section even existed. The problem is that I don't know what the reason is... That's why I posted here. And thank you for your help.

check your antivirus/antispyware scanner ......disable it on the temp emule folder.
check your disk space if it is enough.
check the temp/incoming folders writing settings
open emule with the "administrator rights" .

You really don't know why are you getting the error?

What you're seeing above is that there should be 1.6 GB free on the disk when the files complete...if I'm wrong correct me...

What I understand from that sentence is that you need more 1.88GB of free space to accommodate your temp files.

Additional Space Needed for Downloads means "next chunks will occupy this space"

Marhyo now has got "Free Space on Tempdrive: 3.46 GB" and "Additional Space Needed for Downloads: 1.88 GB"

3.46 GB - 1.88 GB = 1.58 GB Free space on tempdrive (after he has downloaded, or allocated, all the chunks)

So, it shows the space not allocated yet by the temp files? My bad, then...
