I moved the config file from my old install to the new install in progtam data but there wasn't a config file there to replace. should I have changed some setting first, then moved the file over?

do you have used the installer for that ? then search it in the program folder the new emule installation folder and not in "program data"
take a look here > Shared usage

You shouldn't search for a FILE but a FOLDER named "config".

No, there will not be a new version of my mods. No, I do not want your PM. No, I am certain, use the board and quit sending PMs. No, I am not kidding, there will not be a new version of my mods just because of YOU asking for it!

OK I installed the morph on a new insall of windows7. I had not changed any setting. There was no "config" file or folder in either the program folder, or program data folder of emile. There was a folder called "config" in the program data folder of the old install, but not in the program folder.

it did. check the app data/ roaming directory.
this is not Morph specific but if you are incapable to even figure this out you are better off not using MorphXT!
