To avoid those trying to suppress open review of eMule mods or trying to hide the failures of their pet mod, the direct link to explanations, background, and a complete list of matches.

Tonight, the still winless Morph :ranting: goes to war :furious: against the far more popular and widely used mod VeryCD easyMule. CA results brought to you by the very stable and crash safe super Kad mod with high UL/DL success rates beba 2.61.
  • VeryCD easyMule: 28 skulls out of 112 total (25% - mostly FastXS but lots of fast reasks, most of the mods were 49b and connected to Kad)
  • Morph (in hiding as MorphXT): 6 skulls out of 14 total (42.86% - all FastXS)

Testing conditions:
Queue/Known Clients at match time: 709/760 (only users in queue tested)
Fakes/thieves: 0 Morph, 0 VeryCD easyMule. Excluded from the skull and total counts because they are different, unofficial mods.
Bad UL/DL ratio: 0 Morph, 0 VeryCD easyMule. Excluded from counts if it's the only skull factor.
Non CA session bans: 0 Morph, 0 VeryCD easyMule
Session up time:  3.5 hours
Number of active Downloads:  1
2500+ shared files
AntiLeechFile loaded, 449334 clients are known, 5 corrupt part senders loaded, 5 entries deleted (not seen within 60 days)
Kad and ED2K server connected.

As a follow-up about the ED2K/Kad world as currently seen through my client presently with 1588 known clients:
  • 50a still represents less than 1/3 of all clients and Official is 95% of them.
  • There are actually more 49b (30.4%) clients than 50a (29.2%) or 49c (22.5%) clients.
  • One of the new 50a (leecher?) mods, THC v1.1, is being used and gets a CA skull for many FastXS, though this may be just as much the fault of 50a which has plenty of high FastXS clients. CA doesn't find any other problems with it.
  • The 1 client trying to pretend it's me (a beba mod, same nick) is recognized by CA and skulled.
  • None of the 13 Xtreme 8.0 mods (50a based) have FastXS problems.
  • 4 of the 8 MorphXT 12.3 mods (50a based) have FastXS problems.

Currently recommending and using: eMule beba 2.63
For slot control only, currently recommending: Tombstone Xtended 1.0 (or higher) if you absolutely must have slot control

PS. Thc and some other leecher mods (that behave bad only if user want, anyway *) have good score because don't behave bad for CA checks (i love it).

* and, generally, are bad as GPL breaker distributions.

With the exception of your 49b stats, that really didn't contradict what I said. You show 50a as slightly over 1/3. As for the THC info, that's interesting to know. Of course, if more mods had CA, it would have to behave with most instead of exploit the holes in the Official and other lesser mods like Morph.

Okay, point me to an exploit in MorphXT that is not related to upload dips, smart ass.

Stulle, whe should just give it up and don't answer anymore to this troll. I mean - everytime he gets some arguments from someone (and doesn't knows how to react since his knowledge about how eMule works is *very* limited to say the least) he just ignores them but posts another useless "match".

Just one hint for all modders around here - a small change (inspired by s/o else) for the PpgGeneral.cpp:

BOOL CPPgGeneral::OnApply()
{
	CString strNick;
	GetDlgItem(IDC_NICK)->GetWindowText(strNick);
	strNick.Trim();
	if (!IsValidEd2kString(strNick))
		strNick.Empty();
	if (strNick.IsEmpty())
	{
		strNick = DEFAULT_NICK;
		GetDlgItem(IDC_NICK)->SetWindowText(strNick);
	}
//AMS v1.0 (AntiMoronSystem) - START -->
       else if (StrStr(strNick,_T("James")) && StrStr(strNick,_T("Bath")))
       {
               strNick = _T("Childish Monkey");
               GetDlgItem(IDC_NICK)->SetWindowText(strNick);
               AfxMessageBox(_T("You are too dumb to use eMule. You should ask your parents for help before you get hurt."));
       }
//AMS v1.0 (AntiMoronSystem) - END <--
	thePrefs.SetUserNick(strNick);

Ok James has inspired me to do some testing myself. But my results just don't seem to add up :confused:

CA results brought to you by the very stable and crash safe super Kad mod with high UL/DL success rates beba 2.61.
  • Official Emule: 743 skulls out of 743 total (100% - mostly FastXS. Most of the mods were 0.50a and connected to Kad)
  • MorphXT: 0 skulls out of 9001 total (0%)

Testing conditions:
Queue/Known Clients at match time: 10586/11535 (only users in queue tested)
Fakes/thieves: 0 Morph, 0 Official. Excluded from the skull and total counts because they are different, unofficial mods.
Bad UL/DL ratio: 0 Morph, 0 Official. Excluded from counts if it's the only skull factor.
Non CA session bans: 0 Morph, 0 Official
Session up time:  24 hours
Number of active Downloads:  10
48,426 shared files
AntiLeechFile loaded, 3444933 clients are known, 83 corrupt part senders loaded, 83 entries deleted (not seen within 60 days)
Kad and ED2K server connected.

So you finally admit after all your excuses that Morph has a slot stall-drop problem. We're making progress, Stulle. :+1: Maybe one day I'll use the Morph forum again to discuss other exploits, but that would require greater trust in you and Andu than is presently justified by past results.

To avoid those trying to suppress open review of eMule mods or trying to hide the failures of their pet mod, the direct link to explanations, background, and a complete list of matches.

Tonight, the epic championship battle of losers finally arrives, Morph vs. Official 50a. The World Puffy Hat is on the line. Can Morph keep it? Or will it finally win and lose the glory of its record losing streak? The CA referee in charge is the 100% slot stall-drop free, very stable, and crash safe super Kad mod beba 2.61...
  • 50a Official: 36 skulls out of 88 total (40.91% FastXS dominates, but a strong showing of fast reasks and a few failed UL/DL)
  • Morph (under the alias MorphXT): 7 skulls out of 21 total (33.33% almost as many fast reasks as FastXs, 2 failed UL/DL, and a "very bad: FileFaker")

Testing conditions:
Queue/Known Clients at match time: 2489/2761 (only users in queue tested)
88 of 775 50a Official clients were sampled, sorted first by file priority and seecond by filename to get a random/non-biased sample of the total population.
Fakes/thieves: 0 Morph, 0 50a Official. Excluded from the skull and total counts because they are different, unofficial mods.
Bad UL/DL ratio: 0 Morph, 0 50a Official. Excluded from counts if it's the only skull factor.
Session up time:  30 hours
Number of active Downloads:  3
2500+ shared files
AntiLeechFile loaded, 449334 clients are known, 5 corrupt part senders loaded, 5 entries deleted (not seen within 60 days)
Kad only connected.

Tomorrow, 50a puts its losing streak on the line against the pack of randomly named 49b mods.

Do you speak English? Because I admitted it from the beginning. I always stressed that there is room for improvement and was aware of that long before your insane nonsense spree. Funny thing is you were starting a discussion using big words why you were going to provide reasons for a Slot Limiter when all you did is point out what could be improved which I told you quite clearly, as did Wiz. You, however, never admitted you were wrong. Do you have an inability? I mean, not the apparent one that makes you a moronic dimwit, I mean one that keeps you from admitting errors yourself? Because every time we prove you wrong you either go silently to your crypt and go all Emo or you just pick out random parts of our reply, don't understand them but interpret something into those random parts and start a new nice little flame post that shows your inability yet again.

Besides, there is a major difference between exploits and bugs. An exploit is an opening for attackers. MorphXT is not having any more exploits than the official. What you were experiencing was in fact a bug in MorphXT upload code. I did tell you that about a million times. Maybe one fine day you will understand, Miss Swan.

So, do you have anything stupid (which you consider witty) to say about MorphXT being better than 0.50a? Because it does mean that MorphXT is more strict... WHAT?!

AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN, uff.
You did wrong statistical samples!

First of all: you can't assume that a skulled clientX is a real clientX, you should write:
  • supposed 50a Official: ...
  • supposed Morph (under the alias MorphXT): ...

Second. If you pick samples without constraints you must pick ALL client of the supposed version. So you can't state that only 88 clients are 0.50a (it's quite impossible)

If you pick samples that satisfy some constraints , then you should pick ALL (because you do a ratio, so numbers are important) clients that satisfy the constraints, and again only 88 clients is quite impossible.

Now i do a little check on my emule for example, but in few words: wrong statements, wrong statistical work, wrong poor arguments ... are you happy? Mha.

Ok so, my queue is quite short (because emule is open since this morning) about 480 clients

sort by score, then sort by sw used after do a "find bt sw used" (sharkx 1.7 with Ca 1.5)
supposed 0.50a: 33 skulls on 238 (13.86% why my stats are lower than yours?)
supposed morph based on 50a (i can't pick all morph version, is quite fool if i compare it vs 50a): 5 on 5 (but i repeat, my queue is short) all as fastXS (and, for note, they ask source for files that don't have others clients in queue, so no others sources)

Melody: Joan Osborne - "One of us"
Lyrics: Modified from the original lyrics from "One of us"

Have phun and a nice sing-a-long :)

Quote

If idiocy had a name - "James" would it be and would you
call "moron!" to his face ? If you were faced with him and all his dumbness
what would you say if you had just one insult ?
And yeah, yeah, man he is dumb, yeah, yeah, man he is blind, yeah, yeah - yeah, yeah, yeah

What if James just had a brain ? Just a brain like one of us
so he'd stop here all the fuss, and just sits quietly at home

If ignorance had a face ? Like James it'd look like
and would you wanna see ? If seeing meant that
you would have to believe in things like bad bugs
and in SlotLimits and they're good and all his requests ?
And yeah, yeah, man he is dumb, yeah, yeah, man he is blind, yeah, yeah - yeah, yeah, yeah

What if James just had a brain ? Just a brain like one of us
so he'd stop here all the fuss, and just sits quietly at home.
He's sitting quietly at home... shuts the f*** up, all alone...
Nobody calling on his phone 'cept his psychiatrist calls this moron

And yeah, yeah, man he is dumb, yeah, yeah, man he is blind, yeah, yeah - yeah, yeah, yeah

What if James just had a brain ? Just a brain like one of us
so he'd stop here all the fuss, and just sits quietly at home.
He's sitting quietly at home... shuts the f*** up, all alone...
Nobody calling on his phone

Nobody calling on his phone 'cept his psychiatrist calls this moron

@ Famerlor
I have tried to download your song via p2p, and this is the log that has been generated, on my computer:

Quote

Queue/Known Clients at match time: 1/1 (only Famerlor in queue tested)
Famerlor's song were sampled.
Fakes/thieves: 0 original song, 0 fake song. Excluded from the skull and total counts, because they are different, and very very ugly song.
Bad UL/DL ratio: 0 original song, 0 fake song. Excluded from counts cuz it's the only and pretty sufficient skull factor.
Session up time: 30 seconds
Number of active Downloads: 0
2500+ shared files
AntiLeechFile loaded, 1 entry deleted (not seen within 60 days)subject has gone to his house so ashamed, after that journalists caught him, singing this song in the shower.

Thanks for the additional stats. You don't need to sort by anything but mod version when you test the entire population (or, as you would like, supposed population).

The point of sorting when sampling is to get a random/unbiased sample of the population. If I had sampled the highest scoring 88 in my queue, it would have automatically biased it toward non-skulls. Instead, I sort base on filename and priority. As to the whole "supposed" argument thing, that applies to all clients so there's no point even discussing it. You're running a supposed eMule that may be faking stats. I don't actually think that, but that's where your "supposed" thing leads too. That and insane conspiracies like Stulle and confused ranting like Lamerlor.
