AFAIK, eMule is build with VS2003, so how can I make it work with Windows SDK v7.0 so I can compile 0.50a with w7 taskbar thing support?

You need the sal.h from V$ 2005 or higher. Add it to the Win7 SDK include directory and add the SDK directories to your dev. environments folder settings to the top. After that, completely rebuild eMule.

sal.h is also included in other SDKs, but i can't say which one in particular, probably google helps. No need for VS2005 in any case.
