I'm trying 2.1 at the moment and as promised there's very little different. Despite enabling the CA reward/punish, I'm seeing fewer bans than the official client. As expected or should it be a lot higher?
Currently recommending and using: eMule beba 2.63
For slot control only, currently recommending: Tombstone Xtended 1.0 (or higher) if you absolutely must have slot control

Expected, as there is no need to ban some bad people when we can punish them. :angelnot:

I didn't change official banning system so it SHOULD be equal... not higher in any case as the CA doesn't ban (except very bad clients, see the changelog) but uses the CS to punish them.

That depends on how many clients you "know"... on my system eMule runs 24/7 but I rarely download... the .met file is ~1MB in size.

My antileech.met is up to 1.2 MB. I've been running it for 3 days 24x7 with 1 restart and am presently DL'n a few files. All 3 clients I'm DL'n from at the moment have a skull next to them. 2 are 50a, 1 49c.

tHeWiZaRdOfDoS, have you ever thought about adding VersionFaker detection.

There are several 0.47f in my uploadlist from Korea

They, versionfaker(s) should be slightly punished, even if their behavior are legal.
At least, they fake the version.

Please think about it

Well, I don't intend to maintain some version list... the CA shall work by detection of behaviour only... I may add some quick checks for some known bad versions, but no guarantees :)

yeah, keeping a list is a hard and non-effective work

keeping a list will make CA become DLP, which based on a list

but you should not ignore Versionfaker(s), cause your CA detect nickthief(ves) modfaker(s)...

I have a behavior I'd like to see CS punish. It's not leeching. It's equivalent to slot blocking, and as a behavior may as well be viewed as slot blocking or a DoS variation. Users downloading =< MB per half-hour. Just to be clear, these are users my mule are UL'n to, so we're talking about making better use of my uploading and everybody else's uploading bandwidth.

Even users DL'n at 1 KB/s DL 3.6 MB/h (1.6 MB more than a user DL'n at exactly 1 MB per half hour and will finish in under 3 hours. At best, the users I want punished will complete their DL in nearly 5 hours. I see this a lot, and it's not a low-id only thing. On normal clients it results in complaints about slot explosion. On the clients I prefer using, it results in extremely low bandwidth use over long periods of time. These slow users are either making incredibly stupid use of their bandwidth or are intentionally trying to block slots, and either way that behavior needs to be discouraged in some way.

BTW, the 47f clients are better behaved than even the latest Morph 12.5 or the still not updated bug-ridden official 50a release.

IMHO this is an issue of the official client. It shouldn't open more dl slots if the dl limit has been reached and the sockets are blocking. In fact, the settings wizard is confusing because it's offering some "simultaneous downloads" limit which is NEVER used, anywhere. I don't think it's OK to punish ppl for that "behaviour" even though it IS highly annoying.

3 problems with that.
1. Official is useless when it comes to dealing with anything but the simplest reasons to ban.
2. Official hates banning, or at least is horribly slow in updating ban rules.
3. In addition to blocking a slot, it makes it easier for various ap2p sources looking to make a case against a client for sharing a file it considers illegal if it's been downloading the file or an entire chunk for 7 hours from a source that happens to also show it as complete. The longer a client shows as sharing a file, and can actually be verified to be sharing it, the harder it is to argue "oops". This goes beyond the typical copyright stuff into WikiLeaks territory or anything else governments/corporations would prefer not to have out in the open.

1 more thing not so much for you but because it's probably going through the collective retarded mind of Morph and official 50a users. These block-like slots are mostly originating from DSL and static IP providers, not dial-up or some other extremely slow ISP connection.

If it's the same with official, you should file a bugreport to the official devs. If you can supply me with .dmp files (you have to use my .exe file) then I'm of course willing to have a look but it's better if SS knows about it, too.

i can send you .dmp, but two questions:
1. crash not happen every time
2. can it be the .rar's problem ?

i have tried many 0.50a clients(official and mods)

#################################################

i have sent the .dmp to your mod mentioned email, because i cann't attach here

using your original .exe; tried 5-6 times to wait the crash happening

Well it could be a corrupt .rar file or whatever but I doubt that... maybe it's some thread/timer problem.
I want to reproduce that crash because the dump shows too few details, but I fail to do so...
Did that happen with the OfFixed .rar files? What exactly are the steps, I tried:
1. go to shared files
2. click a rar
3. switch to ed2k links

... but nothing happened so far - so I want to try it with the same .rar files and steps.

Bug already seen (into bug reports subforum)... Probably this: Emule 0.50A Shared Files Window Bug? (click)
But this time I noticed chinese characters: could it be that (unicode related) ?

that file is ok, i have successful compiled that mod

as i said: crash did not happen every time, sometimes, tab disappered; sometimes emule crashed.

you can try the same .rar

steps:
restart emule, it is better
go to shared files
click a rar, OfFixed .rar better
switch to ed2k links directly! not other tab first

sometimes i need to repeat 5 6 times to reproduce

i currently rollback to 0.49c zzul with some modification
