i firstly wonder why you are even having this poll and i secondly wonder if it is really a matter that should be voted upon.

AcKroNiC is a community. A central part of it is AcKroNiC mod. I'm am the current AcKroNiC modder. I have a "black cloud" over my head.
I think AcKroNiC deserves a modder which does not punish users of legit mods on purpose and surely it deserves one that is not a liar (or pointed at as such). Therefore I requested that a (trust) vote on remaining AcKroNiC modder. The impact of the vote is removing the doubts about AcKroNiC future (regardless of the results).

This is not a practical joke of any kind, the outcome of the vote will be acted upon (unless survey results are proven to be forged / faked by some means).

There are 3 options to vote on and here's my personal interpetation of each :

1. I remain AcKroNiC modder - if any modder wishes to join in please PM me or suggest yourself at AcKroNiC.net (AcKroNiC stuff will decide upon AcKroNiC becoming a team mod, and who's "team leader").
2. I'm to be joined - in that case, one of the joiners is to become the team leader and will deside my role. It's a clear indication I can't be trusted to carry on by myself (however probably my past contribution "rescued" me from being voted out).
3. I'm out - I'll help (if needed) any chosen modder / team to pick on and will be availale at AcKroNiC community disposal.

(Since I've become AcKroNiC modder features were desided upon AcKroNiC stuff - I could veto on parts regarding legit, code parts that were getting in way of already coded stuff or things to complicated for me. If I'm to reamin, option 1 - this will continue)

Besides removing the shadow above AcKroNiC by "people's court", my own credibility is here for you to judge - Take a stand !

cellax: if you got nothing to say shut the f*** up but don't give me that attitude. if you truly disrespect of taz' actions and want to sack him, sack him. but if you are uncertain if his wrongs in other matters affect your project don't make random people vote on his position. you don't go and ask if any given employee of your company should be fired when you're the boss. doing so is just proving that you are incapable of making a decision or even worse, are scared of making them. it shows distrust within the team.

taz: i have no idea if you inflicted this upon yourself but this is - imo - a perfect example of bad team management. this is a matter that should be decided by the team in charge and only by those. well, see above.

besides, if someone is not capable of differentiating between SharkX and Ackronic he/she is not worthy being considered. should those "clouds" have seeded distrust between the members working on the project those should be discussed internally. this may be an attempt to redeem yourself by vote but imo you are just redeeming yourself by inflicting additional scars. that is not a good thing to be doing...

PS: i voted for taz because i don't like the idea of this poll to start with.

PPS: cellax, do you even have any mildly talented modder at your hand that could assist taz or take over for him? given the current situation and given the state this project has been in before taz took over i shall doubt that...

No offence, but this vote is not about you, surely not about the me and you. It is about AcKroNiC future - which is NOT your business, unless you're going to join AcKroNiC community as a modder (as I said any modder is welcomed regardless of the vote outcome), a user or just a member (with a degree of activity that suits you).
The vote is taking place as well as vote being public on my request : if such a vote was taking place amoung AcKroNiC stuff only, or only at AcKroNiC site - there was no point of conducting it (the outcome was known upfront).
As I wrote elsewhere I'm SharkX modder and will remain so as long as I'm an active modder. My actions (being an innocent mistake using valid code, or punishing MorphXT users on purpose and lying about it later) as SharkX modder do count for my credibilty and reputation. Since I happen to be current AcKroNiC modder - this situation (being accused of punishing MorphXT users on purpose and being accused as a liar when stating it was an innocent mistake), shadows future usage of AcKroNiC mod (thus refectling AcKroNiC community size and status). AcKroNiC community should not pay for my dids and it is entitled to try and lift that burden of it shoulders as it wants (following my request is / was a valid choice). If future modder of AcKroNiC is decided upon in public in an open vote - it will make future modder (or team) of AcKroNiC the choice of the public, thus AcKroNiC image will be spotless. If I'll be redeemed by the vote or getting deeper scars is my own business and a chance I'm willing to take for AcKroNiC image and future usage.

As for willing of other modders to step in joining or replacing me as AcKroNiC modder - this vote being held in public, makes the chance of it happening greater, since it is now known that "this seat in not taken".

PS: about your vote (since you made your reason public knowledge) - this vote is about AcKroNiC future not about the idea of having the vote.

Well, if this is how you want to do it fine but I hope you got the tenor of my post which is this is unnessary. I am not trying to tell you what to do but I am trying to tell you this is unneeded which in turn means I don't think this is all bad enough for needing votes like this.

• The problem was with SharkX - not Ackronic
  
• The problem was settled, you acknowleged being wrong and made a proper excuse
  
• The Ackronic team can AND SHOULD decide whatever they want - they MUST have some POV, there's no need to make all that public
  
• There's no need to sink into self-doubt just because of that... we're all human and we all make mistakes - as long as you noticed your misbehaviour learned something from it (which you did, obviously), there's no problem at all

Just my 2 C€nts, but cellax posted here, so I guess he wanted some answers...

Finally: One more vote for taz from me... no doubt about that.

10'x for your support - I didn't have doubts about the reasons for SharkX beta punishing MorphXT users. I claimed (and still do) it was an innocent mistake. My claim was rejected (some even bothered to find proofs that I was lying).

There's a say in Hebrew : "even one hundred wise men cannot take out a stone thrown into a well by a fool". It's meaning is : there are things that their undoing is way more complicated then doing, thus they should be thought of thoroughly before being done.
Doubting someone's credibility is such a thing. If that someone is involved in other activities, he is still carrying he's problematic image to those (in court a witness found to lie about one subject, is not trusted about the rest ...).

This was the base (reason) for my request from AcKroNiC stuff to conduct the vote - I didn't ask to redeem myself (as already said above - I paid quite heavily and it was done willingly). From the day I took the job of reviving AcKroNiC, I've placed AcK community's interests above my own (this is why questionable code is being published though SharkX, although in term of coding most of it is coded on AcK - SharkX is derived. Just one more example, instead of starting to port SharkX to Linux as I planned - I've revived AcK). The current scenario from my point of view is exactly the same - I'd rather be voted out or shifted from position, then AcK being shadowed by my acts or credibility. This was also why I wanted to go public with vote and not among current AcK community members only - so that regardless of the outcome, AcK will be a valid candidate for usage by new users as well.

If the general atmosphere here is against proceeding with the vote - I won't push it. All I meant was for AcK to have a modder (or team) with clean image - I don't think this was a bad idea. If it is wished to preserve current status - so be it (even though I'm not sure how many modders here would have skipped such "golden opportunity", at least at current vote and atmosphere status, to redeem themselves if they were in my place. It's not related to the fact that most / all other modders wouldn't got themselves to a situation like the one I'm in).

10'x everyone (supporters or not - especially AcK stuff) and sorry for wasting your time.

After another survey (closed one this time among AcKroNiC "spirit holders" only) it was decided that AcKroNiC is joining the MorphXT family (if it concers anyone : other choices were a merge to 0.50a, or derived from eMF with and without board correlation, like next SharkX).
AcKroNiC v6.0 will be based on MorphCA 1.6 (all my mods use CA).
I'd like to take this opportunity and thank MorphXT team and morph4u for SRCs packaging (as well as code quality) which enabled producing a private beta (mainly mod name & skin related stuff) in a manner of minutes

When I took AcKroNiC I made a mistake : it was a vanilla mod with features mostly taken from MorphXT. I took the wrong turn and changed the mix of the features (towards what seems to me a shortcut) so it would have a large common ground with SharkX.
I should have turned it to be derived from MorphXT with changed/added features list.

Since ALL my mods are Client Analyzer based I thought of (before starting a merge or again following the path I'm going to take SharkX to) starting with MorphCA (instead of reinventing the wheel). I layed the choices in front of AcKroNiC "spirit holders" and MoprhCA option turned out. However AcKroNiC won't be derived from MorphCA on a constant base (for example there's very little sense in update CA or and other WiZ's code from it) - it will follow (be merged) mainly upon MorphXT versions, with time to time other changes (some might be from MorphCA).

AcKroNiC is a community oriented mod with a lot of background and history - I thought/think it will be in the best interest of it's users if it will be derived from MorphXT "family" which is maintained by a dev team more skilled then myself (by far). It will also ease any change in AcKroNiC dev identity / team if such will occur.

Due to missed stuff (not programming misses though - just things that AcKroNiC users as well as "spirit holders" are used to) - new AcKroNiC will be directly derived from MorphXT ! (shortcuts might turn to be the longer way - so we'll start over with migrating to CA and all other things that we'll make it AcKroNiC).
