Hello, please, can anyone help me??
I really tried everything I found here and elsewhere - torpon's 17 steps, all the ed2k addresses, and STILL, my emule won't connect...the only thing that worked was nodes.dat for kad, but all the servers "appear to be" either "full" or "dead". It's driving me mad, changing the firewall settings didn't help, neither did reinstalling. I really don't know what to do. I have got Windows Vista and eMule version v0.49c...
please help me, if you know what to do. thanx:)

Well, I'm connected to Kad network only by own choice and I don't see any problem with that. But your problem with servers gives me the impression that you have LowID ( = you are firewalled = you are not reachable ).
If you check 'My Info' frame in Servers tab what's your Kad Network status? 'Open' or 'Firewalled'?

Do you have a public IP-address or does your ISP give you a private one?

Do you have a router? If so what model is it?

What firewalls are you using?

Thank you so much for your willingness...:))
you are right, kad status is firewalled. As for the IP address, I really don't know:(( I don't know how to find out:(
I think I have no router. The firewall I am using is Outpost Firewall Pro. I put emule from the Custom Access list to Trusted list, but it didn't work... From the very beginning I was thinking it's something wrong with the firewall, but I didn't have any other idea than turning emule into trusted application...

I think I have no router.

To find out your ip-address. Click on Start in the bottom left corner on your screen, then on Run.... Type CMD in the little box and finally ipconfig in the black window.

Please post first two numbers in IP-address.
