I'm sorry. I can't speak English.

1. skip the zero-filling process for file allocation

eMule
21:42:36: ALLOC:Start (Poor disk write performance.zip) (6.56 GB)
21:45:47: UploadBandwidthThrottler: Time since last loop too long. time: 2443ms wanted: 2ms Max: 2002ms
21:46:06: ALLOC:End (Poor disk write performance.zip)

uTorrent: 1s

2. completing file (hash check)

eMule: yes
read again 6.56GB file :cry:

uTorrent: no

Zero filled file would help in file recovery processes.
Final hashing is important for file integrity.

PS. Are not you using something like 8086 computer for eMuleing? :o

uTorrent is stupid.
People are stupid like that. :angry:

PS. Usually, my computer is using all the bandwidth of the line. (Up/Down all 100Mbps) So, disk read and write operations occur frequently.
eMule when the disk operation(large file alloc&complete), the system seems to stop.

It wouldn't hurt to have something equivalent to a fast allocation and put the final hash on lower priority so it doesn't cause 500mhz 512mb ram netbooks to go into not responding mode for extended periods.

OTOH, maybe if corruption handling was given higher priority while handling each part, a final hash would become redundant and irrelevant.

Talk about disk overload. Not CPU.

Try to allocation 1GB+2GB+4GB+6GB+8GB+10GB files at once.
eMule = Stuttering of death
uTorrent = No disk overload

Yes, try some mod like emule bastard. It have "nicehash" that put a delay for disk operation (and a note: I/O disk stress can be done with a 80486 =D, try mydefrag sort by name.), so the system do not "freeze".

Try, for example, and put nicehash to 50.

PS. maybe other mod have features like nicehash but i don't remember :P
.My wiki (ITA) on emule
.Emule on old hardware (pentium 2 - pentium 3 - via c3 - and so on) with good OS settings and enough ram (256 mb): win
.Default setting: hide post below 0 points and point system for each post: fail (imo).

Morph has it too but I've never noticed any difference/improvement in hashing. My current setting:
NiceHashWeight=10

Hashing is very important for file integrity.
You won't expect files corrupted which take your much time downloading, right?
