Hi Can anyone please help me. I am new to e-mule.
I have tried all week to download a .rar file (approx size is 1.00 GB). So far I have downloaded the software from six different sources and each time I extract files I get the report "No Archive Found" even though the properties for the file show 1.00 GB (1,075,761,008 bytes).

This forum is for helping with eMule program, not for helping with files you managed to download.
Ok. Thank you for pointing that out. Only reason I made the enquiry was because I thought it may have something to do with e-mule. Now I guess it isn't. I now know better thanks to your reponse

Try to apply the advices in the "avoid fake files" stickies on your downloads to find out about faked or wrong named downloads as early as possible.

WOW! That is a great deal of information, thank you. I shall look into tomorrow and see if I can digest it. Many thanks for taking the time to help.

Once again many thanks for your comments. I think I may have found the problem. I have been downloading from sources that were not 100%. i am hoping this has been the problem which I guess is why they have been coming back with "No Archives Found". But the files I have been looking for have been the correct titles.

Hi, I think you're mixing things up here: You can download from sources that don't have the file 100% yet. That's an essential feature in every modern filesharing application. And note what fox88 pointed out, you will always get the file you requested.
But what can happen is that already the file you requested is not the right one.
For instance, you search for a file "abc.rar", find and add it to your downloads but in reality the file is rather "xyz.avi".
So the most important thing in my opinion is to check a new download for different filenames among its sources (rightklick, details, name).
If your file "abc.rar" has 99% sources that named it "xyz.avi" then the file is most likely "xyz.avi" rather than "abc.rar".
