Hi all,
I would like to know if it is only me having problems with moderation features.
I can't use and function that can be applied on selected posts, that is, I can't move posts or split a thread in the section where I'm moderator (Italian forums).
Moreover the voting system doesn't seem to work for me (whenever I vote an error message appears telling me that I have already exceeded my voting capacity). But I see some posts having positive or negative scores, so for someone this mechanism is working.

For the skin, one that looks like the old blue-white one would be really appreciated

I'd love to, but I know absolutely nothing about skins for IPBoard. I'm assuming that you can't use skins designed for a previous version? I ended up on a site that had several skins I liked, then I noticed that they were for v1.x. When I looked at the skins for 3.x, of which there were only a handful, they all sucked. Every one is more concerned with making it look as flashy/fancy as possible, rather than concentrating on making a skin that's easy on the eyes.

I tried searching a couple other sites, but almost every one only had paid skins rather than free ones.

If you could point me to a site that has a good selection of free skins that are compatible with whatever version this site is now using, I'd be glad to make some recommendations.

Besides, aren't the skins user-selectable? Couldn't you just install a bunch of different free ones and let the users use whichever one they like best?

Yes we can only use 3.x skins. And no i don#t know any sites with fantastics skins neither, thats kinda the problem (however Invisions own ressource site is accessible for us, which might not be the case for unregistred users).
And yes I could install hundrets of skins and let the user select, but thats not too usefull for the majority imho. The default skin is used by 99% and there shouldn't be a selection of more than 3 skins to keep it clear.

I don't know what happend with the fast edit, at least there is no option to turn it on, so it is either gone or bugged The "undefined" error messages which appear sometimes are probably the result from a problem when the languages were installed - a bug in the forum overwrote the original language instead of adding a new one and of course there wasn't a way to set it back to the original state. So this had to be fixed in the database but i guess it didn't worked out for some values (and when i have a lot of time i try to digg through the sources to find out.
About french: I forgot about it, i will convert it by time. Not sure why those guys provided it in unicode in the first place though.

As for the skins: The vendor ( http://community.invisionpower.com ) has some different skins on his board as for example one which looks like the previous version. Unfortunatly i can't actually find this somewhere, i guess it wasn't released yet. The onyl available skin is a CleanCut-Beta, don't think this looks that great however.

While searching, I found an announcement dated Sept. 4th, that the Classic Blue and other skins are being ported and are considered "beta". So hopefully it will be available soon. If so, can you PLEASE install the Classic Blue skin when it becomes available? I like it much better than this default one.

just to be sure it is noticed, editing only works in quick edit mode which pretty much sucks because i cannot rename topics and change them. hope this can be fixed...

Just to update this a bit, after complains and selftests, the register captcha has been made case insensitiv and capital letters only (it was really tricky before, at least for humans). by time i will install the 3.0.4 upgrade. The classic blue skin is still not available yet. French isn't fixed yet, but.. um soon? The problem with undefined strings from javascripts (confirm boxes etc) should be gone too.

It could just be my imagination, but the new board version seems slower and more sluggish than the old one. Specifically, the pages seem to take longer to load, sometimes clicking on the buttons doesn't seem to register, etc.

I notice it seems to be using more Javascript than the old one, which almost always causes slowdowns.

The old one just seemed snappier and more responsive.
