Quick question though, is there a reason why the accepted requests was removed from the shared files section? It was nice to know how many sections of a file was downloaded in a session sometimes (less math in head). Also just wanted to say I hope that this is it for a while. A few years back a new version was comming out within a few months and I would loose my credits that I built up all the time.

Extract or install a new eMule version to the same directory you use for the old version. Only the eMule.exe and non user files will be replaced. All settings and downloads are kept.
eMule has to be closed before updating to a new version! To keep already existing settings simply hit Cancel when the wizard pops up.
So you keep your identity this way and thus your credits; and everyone else's credits with you.
so much better than the official games, try it out - e.g. this one Himalayan Mysteries , Trailer on youtube
sorry for missing 'p' or 'z' , my keyboard should get replaced.

And always download emule from Official emule-project.net Download Page
Now you know, sorry you learnt it that way.
Thanks...
That's what I did
Unfortunately ont the page that came then I clicked on the "google ads" and everything looked so much like the real emule downloading that I didn't pay attention.

To prevent loosing your credits do the following:
after updating, run emule, then you will see the First RunTime Wizard, Cancel it !
that's all, after canceling the wizard you keep your settings

Since about three months I have problems finishing the files I download. It started when I used 49b and was relieved to find 49c was released. But that didn't solve the problem; files which are downloaded are never finished, but I can play the files with Windows Media Player or VLC Player though, using the explorer. I have a Q6600 Intel CPU on DP35DP Intel motherboard, 2GB Kinston Ram, 500 GB Raid 0 Harddisks and use, since one week Norton 360 3.0.
So the files are downloaded but never finished although compleet, in consequence of which I never can remove downloaded files from the download screen (which gets pretty full I can assure you!).
Kind regards, Chumblach.

Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.

I started in computer-field in mid-1970's...and have seen a lot of bits and bytes and 'memes' go under the bridge in the past 30+ years.....and looking back at the solely 'corporate' days, and then thinking about today...worldwide connection to others....open-source software....it's just freaking amazing.
Seven YEARS of work.....AND you give it to us all for FREE....what a GIFT!
So dev-team....THANK YOU !

I'd like to join in the thank you! I got started with with a dual floppy IBM PC with 256K RAM, the ones that loaded BASICA from ROM. I remember connecting to BBSs with a Hayes 2400 baud modem, and when having a 10MB MFM hard drive was the bomb!
Cheers!
