Hello,
i havent used emule for a long time, I used to have a low id before. And didnt use it for a long time because it was blocked by proxy, but now I can use it. I have low id. Had problems with servers but managed it ok now, it connects. if someone just could help me to configure my setting I would really appreciate it. And I read the guides and all.
TCP port test failed, how to make it work?

If you tried to read sticky topics, there was a strong recommendation to post here details of your configuration.

The same details you were asked for more than two years ago. Low Id. Proxi, remember? ;)

Now I don't have proxy.
Where to look for pc configuration?

Pc Configuration
- Operating System microsoft windows xp
- Internet connection type (Bandwidth, Eg: 1024/320 DSL) ?
- Modem, Router, Proxy (manufacturer and model) ?
- Firewalls windows firewall
- Antivirus avg antivirus, nod32
- Spyware detector none
- Emule Version latest one

Emule Settings (Options tab)
- Dl/Ul capacity 96/0
- Dl/Ul limits none
- Hard limit 400
- Max Connection 500
- Activated networks (ED2k, Kad, Both) both
- Max. new connection/5 secs (Options -> Extended) 20
- Max half open connection (Options -> Extended) 9
- Ports TCP/UDP 33388/49385

Emule General
- Numbers of servers in your server list (How to get a good server list) ?
- High ID or LowID low id
- Number of downloading files and average number of sources ?
- Number of shared files 30gb
- Used server name and IP (eg: DonkeyServer NO1) sharing kingdom 2,
- Internet Service Provider (ISP) Broadcom NetLink ™ Fast Ethernet?
- Is Protocol Obfuscation enabled? no
- Found sources (Statistics -> Transfer -> Downloads -> Session -> Found sources) 239

And my upload is 200kbs, download almost nothing

look in your isp's page, in the page of your connection ... it should say your upstream and downstream (in kilobit/sec, you divide them by 8 to have kiloBYTE/sec).
otherwise with some internet test (there are several site to do it)

i do not understand your language ... is your upstream 250 kilobit/sec ? so in this case you should put in upload capacity: 250/8=31, press apply, then put upload limit to 24 (about 80% of 31) and press ok.
For your id (if it is low yet) look at my first reply...

My upload speed from speedtest.net is 50000 or something like that. Divided by 8 its 7000kBs. And in upload limit scale its only 250kBs, there is no 7000 in there, so I think something isnt right.
And your comment above is a little difficult. To follow it through I would need a lot of time. Like step 1 is just a link to reading material, it doesnt help if you dont undestrand these things. I can manage settings if I know how to manage them. I dont even know what half of them means. Thats why I need help, otherwise I wouldnt ask. To try you guide will take me a lot of time and its not always clear. 1b is only than u have a router? But I dont think I have one, but how i am supposed to know for sure.

if you have really that upstream, try: upload capacity 6000, upload limit 4800.
but if you look at your emule, UP: (at bottom, near DOWN:) says your real and actual upload speed.
if it stays on 4800 kB/s (about 4,7 MB/s) you have that upstream ... (i doubt it, but you can try the same ...)

did you READ this ?

Quote

these steps should work with every router .... (i hope to have done only few language mistakes also technical! )

you can try with upnp (automatically):
1) go in options connection of emule, tick: "use upnp..."
2) go in your firewall and give permission at: "framework upnp"
3) go in the router menus and control if upnp is enabled (otherwise enable it and save settings)
4) restart emule

if that does not work, you can try manually ... you need:
- your ISP's data(?) in case of troubles! so you can easily reset your router to factory default settings, then you can put your ISP's data in it to have the internet connection (user name, password, vpi, vci, atm qos, encapsulation, etc.)
- emule tcp port (option connection of emule)
- emule udp port (option connection of emule)
- private ip address of your router (gateway)
- private ip address of your pc (it is similar to the gateway but last digit is different)

routers have usually (one of) these gateways (but there are also other less common):
10.0.0.1
10.0.0.2
192.168.1.1
192.168.2.1
192.168.0.1
192.168.1.254

you can find it:
on the manual (only the gateway, not the other ips)
in the trayicon could be 2 flashing screens (your connection), double click on them, it opens a windows, there are 2 cards(?): general(?) and support(?), clik on the support card (at the right) and you can read your ip, subnet, gateway, dns
you can find the same of above in start, control panel, network connection(?), your connection (lan or wireless)
start, run, write: cmd (if does not work try command), press enter, it opens a shell dos (a black window with something like: c:\something> ), in this window write: ipconfig , press enter, and you now can see your ips ... if you want, you can try also: ipconfig /all .
if you get an error, look if you wrote it correctly ...
otherwise you can search ipconfig on your pc (usually is in c:\windows\system32)
when you are in the dos shell, you can try also: write: cd\ , press enter, write: cd windows\system32
you can try the shell dos also in start - programs - accesories - command prompt (shell dos ?)

i dont know how to do step 2. Where is router menus? i have no idea what to do with isp datas. You have to understand that Im just a user of computers. I gave my specifications which you asked, whats now?

My curent upload is 122, but it changes all the time, depends on if someone is downloading ffrom me. it can be 0-200, which I saw, but I dont keep track of that.

I realy dont understand why it is so unbelievable difficult to configure emule. Only computer genious can use it. I never in my life had a high id. I have another program and from it I can download even at 2mbs. But I still want to use emule, just so it wouldnt be so slow

step 2? in the upnp? if you have win vista, ignore it. i think point 2 is needed only with win xp...

first: you should check your ip and gateway, if they start with 10 or 192, probably you have a router .... :bouncehi:

to folow through your post earlier with a link ill need a lot of time. And again these advices are for everyone, i tried guidesbefore they didnt worked. And im realy not messing with my server list because now it works and usualy after going through the guide how to get a good server list I have no working sservers.
I just want to download at nomal speed, it sometimes looks that winning a million in a lotter is wish which has more chance of coming to life.

now I would like to try this:
"you can try with upnp (automatically):
1) go in options connection of emule, tick: "use upnp..."
2) go in your firewall and give permission at: "framework upnp"
3) go in the router menus and control if upnp is enabled (otherwise enable it and save settings)

But I dont know about 2,3 steps

And I tried to get ip filters, but i cannt download the file http://emulepawcio.s...et/ipfilter.zip

for point 2, it is needed only with win xp firewall ... if you have vista it is not needed (i think)
for point 3, you should first to know if you are using a router ... so you should search your private ip address and your gateway and make a comparison of them, like said in the above citation ...
