No, its not a fake, ist ok in the preview. One is an album, the other a .bin, and I managed to extract bits of the files (11 of 12 ongs and nearly the entire .bin file). But I cannot copy the whole file to another location and Emule cannot finish the download, because it cannot raname/copy them into the income folder

right-click your disk > properties > tools tab ;)

Could be considered as the male counterpart to zap mama. It's really worth a try, even if you hate hip-hop...

you mean in Windows system lala thing, not in Emule I suppose? Disk seams to be ok, should do a proper scan. Defragmented it, hoping it shuffles the data somewhere else, does not work.

Defragmented it

IMHO, you really should have checked it for errors first...

suppose/hope, if one sector is marked as not readable, maybe defrag won't touch it

Blind hope never helps... the problem is not physically unreadable sectors, but ruined file system.
Doing defragmentation can make the situation a lot worse.

(Yes, from the windows explorer, of course)
Select all options and restart your computer.

Assuming that you got an NTFS drive, and that it's not physically damaged, windows will probably fix all errors (or would have, without the defrag...)

will do tonight. For the sake of it.
Tried a recovery tool, worked, got the file extracted. Found a bad sector.

Thanks,

Custard.

hm, yes, used the Windows option. File could be read, but emule set it back to some 80%, before that the download was complete. Anyway, just writing this to confirm that it works as well.
