Sorry, my magic wand isn't working today. Maybe the other posters are patient enough to continue trying to help :)

I answer the questions as I can. English is not my natyve language, that's why it's a little hard for me to understand some things. :(
thanks for trying to help. :respect:

WillowSum, just go to the search panel, choose Method=Kad, and for example search for emule installer, just to see if you get search results with Kad. If this is the case, choose one of the higher available results for download and look at the transfer window to see if you get sources for the file. (After this test cancel/delete the download!)
This is just to see if Kad is generally working for you or not (at least you are able to connect to it). This of course won't resolve your server problems but it would imply that you can still use emule.
It was already mentioned that the files you're currently downloading may not have any Kad sources.

Oh, and if you really want to try to solve the server issue: Moloko already asked you to provide more information about your system, refering you to >>this topic (click me)<< (see at point 5.) and xscarab reminded you of it...

Try rebooting your router first (and PC).

I think that you should check first that the IP filter does not include your IP in any ranges.

Go here: http://www.showip.com/ and get your IP...

Then open the <eMule dir>\ipfilter.dat in a text editor and search for the range that your IP might be in. Alternatively, check other services that provide IPFilters for eMule and check that your IP is not in those files.

Here's a guide for using the IP filter which will give you pointers on how to manage it:

DSL.... what speeds? Go to speedtest.net and measure your true bandwidth..

If your capacities really are 240/60, then upload limit is set too high.

Sorry I forgot your problem is you are not able to connect. Follow this steps
  • Go to Options/Security
  • Select Filter servers too
  • In Update from URL, type:
    http://emulepawcio.s...et/ipfilter.zip
  • Click on Load.
  • Go to Options/Server
  • Set number of errors allowed before removing the server to 9
  • Click List button that appears next to the option Auto update
  • In Notepad, that is opened, write these lines and remove all others if exists:
    http://www.gruk.org/server.met.gz
    http://www.peerates.net/servers.php
  • Save changes in notepad
  • Untick the options to update list of servers when connecting to new server and new client
  • Click on Accept
  • Go to servers window
  • Remove all servers from static list
  • Remove all servers from list
  • In Update Server.met from URL, write any of the URL in point #8
  • Click on Update button
  • If you have selected Autoconnect only to servers on static list add the servers you want to static list
  • Double click on any server

Give us a translation of messages in Servers/Log when trying to connect

Cheers :D

Sharing kingdom servers are not reliable.
Why don't you try the advice to get a reliable server list?

this one still frustrates me lol

recap time? willowsum said

On this Wensday I've downloaded a new eMule version and installed it. I had a lowID. I checked my rowter and fulfilled all specific settings. And everything was fine, but the next day eMule couldn't connect to any server.
I had eMule sinse may and (though I had a lowID) everything worked fine.
I had eMule and was fine and happy whith lowID. I didn't care that it was slow, and why did I downloaded and installed the new version???

ok..... so unless willowsum installed a new version because she/he had run into problems, (such as couldn't connect,) with the other version, then this screams out that the new version hasn't been given it's own access properly via a firewall (although totally denying access via my norton firewall results in emule not being able to connect at all to servers or Kad and prevents me updating from a server.met url - but other firewalls behave differently towards new programs I guess) or has been given different ports which havent been forwarded? And that it was previously lowID suggests there was already a problem with firewall/ports/serverlist/ISP <--- take your pick. Maybe reinstall the old version and see if connection is still possible with that would be an idea?

I think you peeps should get willowsum to keep away from servers known to be in ipfilters, because I don't know about you, but i can't tell if a filter is being used here, or if so, which one is being used, and if one IS being used - if the filter servers too option is ticked - and trying to connect to a server which is in the used ipfilter isn't going to help solve a connection problem is it?. Also, the instructions here for getting an ipfilter are ok now? or it's still got a file that needs downloading via the browser, from pawcio? We don't even know if any attempt has been made to forward ports or try upnp or allow access via firewall/s do we? - apart from the "i've tried everything".

I can't see if willow's servers do allow connections, as I only have 2 of them in my list:
24/09/2008 14:23:36: Connecting to TVU DonkeyServer No1 - Now On Ne (89.248.174.84:6543 - using Protocol Obfuscation) ...

well, here one's ok, and one isn't.

Good luck peeps ;)

btw - /me offers torpon a nice cup of tea and a biscuit :D

Maybe reinstall the old version and see if connection is still possible with that would be an idea?

btw - /me offers torpon a nice cup of tea and a biscuit :D

I've already tried to download previous version of emule and donkey and the problem was the same. I'm sure that router doesn't block emule.

btw - I'm a girl :)
